I hesitate to say "headcanons" because I have trouble distinguishing what exactly a headcanon is, apart from the aromanticism one, but I think there's enough percolating around my brain about HTBAD!Jae for that to count as headcanons in some capacity. so there

by "everyone else is wrong" I specifically mean the people who are writing domestic jaeguiar fluff on ao3. and well the other subject of that jaeguiar discussion in the discord the other day you know the one

"fandom is so mean" is 100% influenced by the mariaified version of them because I mean. you know how it is. the oph fandom trenches

"canon isn't real" in the sense of "Maria's death was evil and I am extending this to Jae because they are certainly not coming back after that"

"they are silly" is perhaps reductive phrasing. I am saying this in the sense of "they are annoying on purpose for fun and I enjoy this". also the cat stickers

3 - Flykk - weapon of choice? any particular reason they chose their weapon?

his twin scimitars!! theyre soulbonded to him so he can summon them to his hands regardless of where he is or where they are which was Very Useful and also sometimes quite funny. they also became enchanted to never miss. i dont have any reason he chose scimitars specifically (i chose them bc they Look Cool and Do Good Damage)(flykk was a dnd character hes very cool u should check out my cerveza cristal tag for more flykk content) but he chose two smaller swords to separate himself from his brother who fights with a greatsword

12 - Arethemene - how long have they been around? do you know their birthday? is their birthday the day you made them or another day? what do they think of celebrating birthdays?

the reason no one knows about arethemene is shes only been around a couple weeks! she didnt get her name until about four days ago she was just unnamed for a bit. i dont know her birthday and tbh i dont think i ever will. a) bc shes from a fantasy world that probably doesnt have the same date system as us and b) because it almost certainly doesnt matter. whats more important and actually gets celebrated is when she ascended to her sainthood. she of course hates this with a passion like she hates everything else about her sainthood

29 - Poine - are they associated with any particular element (air, earth, fire, water)?

ough my fox girl i havent thought about her in depth for agessssssssss. shes definitely fire associated i think bc. nether. she also burns bright and wild like a flame. shes not the most fire coded of the champions (thats prolly her gf hesta) but i think her being a netherling makes her inherently associated with fire

35 - Cyerce - do they ever return home?

ough. asking the hard questions. home is a very strange thing for her, technically she has returned to the place she lives (temporarily) but i wouldnt necessarily say thats her 'home'. i think her home is with menippe currently, and they keep getting pulled apart. i hope she can return home but i dont know if she will (shes a dnd character from a campaign that we're half way through)

4 - Do you save your 'cut scenes' from your fics? (Want to share one?)

i do!! tbh i dont FULLY cut scenes a lot of the time, i generally tend to rejig if smth like that needs to come up. as such i dont have any recent ones to share tho i can show u the tab in my doc for tapping on the trigger that used to have a cut scene in it lol

OH i can also fish out a bit from the first draft of phils revival in take my arms!! FULLY reworked that scene bc the vibes were off but i kept the original somewhere lemme find it

it was a lot more violent originally but i wanted it to be more. ethereal. mystical. so ya!

14 - What is something you really like about your work(s)?

the emotion!! i loooove writing emotion and i feel like im really good at it. ive been told im great at writing panic attacks and that is a compliment to me <3 i also really like the worldbuilding and how i reveal it, aka dropping my readers in with no explanations and letting them figure it out lmaooo

24 - Do you have any writing goals? (Word counts, chapters, finishing fics, trying something new?

honestly atm its just. have fun. write the stories i want to write!! and like i do want to finish the things i start but also i know that sometimes that makes it stop being fun so while its a goal rn to finish both small gods and tapping on the trigger (and i fully intend to do both) that goal might change in the future!! over all i just want to enjoy myself. i also have the goal atm to get back to writing more original stuff hehe

congrats on finishing onsi!!! :D one of the finales of all time, so good and so so terrible (/pos) while also being tied up in a strangely, morbidly neat little bow with only the florences making it off the island (of the PCs at least).

27. What do you listen to while writing?

usually character playlists, if i've made them for the specific people i'm writing! other than that, i don't really listen to music while i write, unless i have some kind of lofi or ambient sound on. i find music with lyrics distracting generally.
