🎶"On a cobweb afternoon In a room full of emptiness By a freeway I confess I was lost in the pages Of a book full of death Reading how we'll die alone And if we're good, we'll lay to rest Anywhere we want to go . In your house I long to be Room by room patiently I'll wait for you there Like a stone I'll wait for you there Alone" 🎶- Audioslave • • I have had this song picked out for #beccasbookishplaylist for quite sometime now. The raw emotions and feelings within the lyrics always made me think of Warner as he read Juliette's journals in Shatter Me. You can feel the pain and regret in this song and need for redemption and those things are a large part of the complex character of Warner. 💙• • I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of Audioslave's (and Sound Garden) lead singer Chris Cornell. I am happy that I can share a piece of his legacy that has always meant a lot to me. This song is my favorite Audioslave song, I have been known to sing it at the top of my lungs. I hope you enjoy these lyrics whether you are an Audioslave fan or not. RIP Chris Cornell ❤️• • 💙Bookmark by @behindthepagesstore • 💙Heaphones by @sudiosweden • #bookishplaylist #audioslave #shatterme #shattermeseries #taherehmafi #sudiosweden #sudiomoments #behindthepages
