Soooooo, this one's for all my Ace fans out there. Especially the ones who love over powered Ace cause truthfully he was so epic and didn't get what he deserved. Also, bit of a spoiler warning for the new God Valley stuff.
The voice of all things is theoretically hereditary.
Which means, high chance Ace had it and just never knew it.
girls don’t want flowers. they want to know whether you fuck with evermore or not.

It’s amazing the difference that changing something small in your life can make.
Like I decided that I wasn’t going to leave dirty dishes around anymore, especially after cooking, and I thought it was going to be difficult because I wasn’t used to putting a lot of effort into anything at night, especially after cooking, but it really hasn’t been that hard. Sure it sometimes means that I also have to clear the dishwasher and I might clean my roommate’s dishes too, but I feel like it saves so much time and energy in the end and it just feels good.
Doing it the night it’s made stops it from piling up, which ends up being a bigger chore in the end.
Already clean dishes means there’s not a need to wash any before cooking.
No dirty dishes in the sink or on the stove makes me feel like a more cleanly person
I feel so much less guilt—towards my roommate and our guests, and even to myself
Putting in even that small effort makes me feel like a more productive person—even if I nap most of the afternoon, at least I did something afterwards!
Idk I’m just so impressed with how happy just cleaning dishes has made me. I’m still far from being a completely neat, clean, and organized person (my room is a testimate to that, though it’s slowly getting better), but at least I have this one area where I’m doing well.
Even before this, it’s one of the things that drove me nuts about my parents and their house: they almost always have dishes piled up everywhere. It especially started to grate on me when I was living somewhere that didn’t have a dishwasher. I missed having one so much and it just seemed inane to me that they would let three people’s dishes pile up so much when they literally had a machine to help keep them clean.
Every so often when I’m there I end up doing it myself because it bothers me so much, and I’m sure that will only intensify now that I’m being even more strict with myself.
Anyway, it just goes to show that you can unlearn bad habits, even ones that have been ingrained in you most of your life.
silly headcanon: boq was the first munchkin that fiyero officially met. staring at him before dancing through life like "little?? so small?? who let this happen did they not feed you." and then he meets the other munchkins in the school and he's like "thye're starving their children in munchkinland... someone do somethhing..."
hey, ao3 authors who write with google docs. I have a suggestion
go to your font menu, click on "more fonts"
search for "Lucida Sans" (it's the font that ao3 uses), and apply it
next, go to Format and click on "switch to pageless format"
this will eliminate the borders of the page, leaving your text to take up the rest of the screen, similar to how it reads on the site
next, go to View, and click "Full Screen"
and you'll get something that looks like this
okay, my ACTUAL suggestion is for you to switch to Ellipsus (@ellipsus-writes you bet your ass they're on tumblr). it's a wonderful writing website, that's made for fanfiction. it even has an export to ao3 option. it's completely free, well made, and has customizable colors so you're not staring at a blank white hell for hours on end. go give it a look, I promise you won't regret it.
"oh, but I don't want to have to copy all my works on docs to them!! that would take too long!!" good news, they have an import markdown option, you just have to download your existing document, and upload it to there. boom. easy peasy. (they also have an export option that is specifically designed to upload your work to ao3!!!!)
