so i’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time but school just hasn’t been allowing me to do so. but anyway, here! i hope you find these helpful!!

boston breakers / twitter

one of the eight founding teams; based in boston, ma. were part of the wps then joined the nwsl when it was founded. played their games last season in dilboy stadium and now currently play in harvard stadium. coached by tom durkin.

sam’s lame (and quite possibly offensive) analysis (which shoudn’t be taken seriously): cheer for boston if you hate good defence.

chicago red stars / twitter 

one of the eight founding teams; based in chicago, il. were part of the wps as well, from 09-10. play their games on crap turf in the village of lisle-benedictine sports complex. coached by rory dames.

sam’s lame (and quite possibly offensive) analysis (which shouldn’t be taken seriously): cheer for chicago if you like a jack-of-all-trades, master of none team.

houston dash / twitter 

the newest team to join the league; based in houston, tx. affiliated with their mls counterparts, the houston dynamo. because of this, they play their games at the bbva compass stadium. coached by randy waldrum.

sam’s lame (and quite possibly offensive) analysis (which shouldn’t be taken seriously): cheer for houston if you don’t like any of the american soccer stars.

fc kansas city / twitter 

one of the eight founding teams; based in kansas city, ks. play their games at the verizon wireless field. coached by vlatko andonovski.

portland thorns fc / twitter

one of the eight founding teams; based in portland, or. affiliated with their mls counterpart, the timbers. play their games at providence park. coached by paul riley. known for having the largest fanbase in the entire league; studies show that portland’s average attendance is more than triple of the league-wide average. defending champions.

sam’s lame (and quite possibly offensive) analysis (which shouldn’t be taken seriously): cheer for the thorns if you want h8ers.

seattle reign fc / twitter

one of the eight founding teams; based in seattle, wa. played their games last season at starfire stadium, but are now currently utilising memorial stadium. coached by laura harvey. current shield holders.

sam’s lame (and quite possibly offensive) analysis (which shouldn’t be taken seriously): cheer for seattle if you hate losing.

sky blue fc / twitter

one of the eight founding teams; based in piscataway, nj. part of the wps prior to joining the nwsl. play their games at yurcak field, the soccer-specific stadium of rutgers university. coached by jim gibarra.

sam’s lame (and quite possibly offensive) analysis (which shouldn’t be taken seriously): cheer for sbfc if you don’t want to share a team with other fans.

washington spirit / twitter

one of the eight founding teams; based in washington, dc. a continuation of the dc united women, who play in the w-league. play their games at the maryland soccerplex (which is in boyds, md, though the team states that they’re based in dc). coached by mark parsons.

sam’s lame (and quite possibly offensive) analysis (which shouldn’t be taken seriously): cheer for the spirit if you like a team that doesn’t know what to do with themselves.

western new york flash / twitter

one of the eight founding teams; based in buffalo, ny. like the breakers, red stars, and sky blue, they were part of the wps before joining this league. play their games at sahlen’s stadium (which is in rochester, but the flash usually train in buffalo). were last year’s shield holders. coached by aaran lines.

OMG I LOVE YOU LIKE I HAVE NEVER LOVED ANYONE RIGHT NOW! I just got my ticket. I GOT IT! I HAVE A TICKET. I’m going to see England play Wales. I’m so happy right now!!! KB, captain Casey, my lovely Scotts, Karen Carney, Toni Duggan - I hope. Everyone.

I got a cheap-ish flight direct from Frankfurt to London. Only one and a half hours bless. Now I only need to find a nice hostel and I’m all set.
