Headcanons for Bear and Declan !!

Because he has a much younger sister, Bear almost never swears. On the other hand, Declan curses enough to fill an entire swear jar within a twenty-four hour period.

Declan has a preference for hand to hand combat, but he also forgets to strap his hands beforehand, so by the end of the fight his knuckles are a bleeding, oversensitive mess. Bear is the one who patches him up and always reprimands his boyfriend for not taking care of himself.

Most people think Declan is the psychological thrillers enthusiast and Bear is the avid documentary consumer, but it's actually the opposite.

Despite all of the lighthearted comments Declan makes about dating a nerd, he's also the only one who genuinely listens to Bear when he goes on one of his tangents about science or tech, without zoning out or disrupting him.

They share clothes. A lot.

The only way they can tell what items of clothing belong to who is because they have two fairly distinctive clothing styles -- Declan sticks to the jock aesthetic, but Bear's is more of a casual academia.

Between Declan's fitness obsession and Bear's childhood fixation on survival VRs, they go hiking together a lot

The Ronnigans have pretty much adopted Declan. He is definitely not complaining.

Bear has met Declan's mother once and it's the only time in his life he has actively not made a good first impression.

They use the worst pickup lines known to humankind on each other. It's their idea of peak comedy.

Declan is the shamelessly bold one flaunting the relationship, whereas Bear doesn't feel the need to be as public about it. However, Bear will orchestrate the big gestures, knowing how much Declan appreciates it.
