Late to posting this because I didn’t realize it was already March 31st, which is also International Transgender Day of Visibility. Today is about recognizing the many challenges transgender individuals have faced and still battle on a daily basis in 2019. But it’s also a moment of celebration and reflection for the progress that has already been made and the opportunities many people have had to become themselves. To be who you truly are is already a difficult feat that requires a lot of self-awareness, enlightenment, and growth for anybody in any context. But to recognize the gender association that is true to who you are and begin the journey of transitioning to become your authentic self is arguably one of the bravest things a person can do. We stand with the kids who feel lost and confused right now. To anyone out there struggling with your identity, body image, gender, sexuality, or anything, we want you to know it is okay to express yourself, question yourself, find yourself and become yourself. #internationaltransgenderdayofvisibility #becomeyourself (at Jersey City, New Jersey) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvtHp7EgQQW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=m446o23espvt
