Iseult and Hauyne! I want to know tidbits of their upbringings if applicable, or if there's any Interceptor bullcrap that Hauyne is going though
I also just would love to know a bit more about Iseult in general. :D
I'm more than happy to answer! :D
Hauyne's childhood is... very complicated to say the least. Time loop shenanigans doesn't help either, but let's just say that before she descended into Aevium, she had a horrible childhood and her adolescence wasn't much better either. With her childhood illness making her slowly rot from the inside out over the course of almost two decades, and after suffering years of abuse, isolation and neglect, one day she... simply gave up. In her dying moments, her soul was transferred to Aevium and the rest was history.
Despite all the suffering she endured as the Interceptor, Hauyne will still say that she'd rather be an Interceptor over returning to wherever she came from. Because at the very least, in Aevium she has friends and family who'd go to the lengths of the world for her and they all believed in her to do the same for them as well. In Aevium - past and present - and hell, even in Miera, her loneliness of her past could not catch up to her, because for once she had a place to belong. But the past would not stay dead, because Storm-Nym siphoned her soul data and made a replica of her own place of origin in Deux Finalis.
Compared to say Replica-Brooklyn or Replica-Tokyo, the replica of Hauyne's birthplace was less than impressive. Perhaps it was in part eroded by Hauyne's own negativity about those memories, but the replica wasn't perfect. But it was still enough to make her heart move again, and she hated it. She hated that Storm-Nym and Vitus had a foothold in manipulating her emotions, and she hated it more that it was working. But in the end, her own sense of duty won out, and Hauyne managed to break free from her trap of assimilation (not that Hauyne ever wanted to return to even a facsimile of her birthplace.)
As for Iseult, it's just as unhappy. Her older sibling was the first Anima born in their bloodline for generations, and her parents only had her in the hopes that their second child would turn out to be one as well. Unfortunately, she (then a he, since Iseult is AMAB) was born as a mere Mageia like the rest of the family, marking her as a disappointment. When she was barely a toddler, Iseult was locked away in a hidden chamber, with only a few servants to tend to her, after she proved herself indifferent to any of the Pokemon they introduced to her in the hopes of forming a Bond. At some point during her childhood, Iseult's younger sibling was born (a friend's OC btw </33), and when they turned out to also be like their older sibling, their parents' disappointment turned to rage and they took it out on their youngest.
Iseult and her sibling managed to escape their abusive family home at some point, but the damage is already done.
Unfortunately for my OCs, all they get is angst </3
