“Skinwalker”
Now I’ve been terrified of the idea of this creature for a while and needed to draw him out of my head. Meet the Skinwalker (Or at least my representation of it), It’s gender and race is unknown, but defiantly was human once. The creature comes from Native American folklore and from how I was told of the history, The Skinwalker was a Shaman who gained the abilities to change his shape and form into animals and later into other human beings.
This version I drew is well over 300 years old and has forgotten what it originally looked like to the point that it’s body became pale white and very skeletal-like. It’s head splits opened from the top to reveal an seizing-shuttered eye containing the souls of it’s past transformations. It’s not instant, but instead the transformations take a little and sort of come in patches. It avoids showing it’s true self during the day and will instead take the form of a lost camper or wandering drifter it had killed passing through forests and mountain areas where it normally resides.
Expect more from this sketch later on.
