Bedfam "carving" pumpkins for Halloween cuz why not 🎃

Anji's turn: Tries to do something fancy and use his butterflies to do a little burn imprint on his pumpkin, only problem is they keep exploding almost every time they land. He goes through several pumpkins before he manages to make one that is (mostly) in tact, it's not perfect but it's okay enough and Baiken was getting sick of the pumpkin guts flying everywhere

Baiken's turn: Opts to slice a face onto hers with the katana, but goes a little too hard on the first try and winds up shredding the face of her pumpkin into a stringy mess before it completely collapses into pieces. She uses a smaller knife for the second one (she refuses to use any pumpkin carving tools because they're cheap and flimsy) and just gouges out two chunks for eyes and a slash for a mouth and calls it a day Delilah's turn: Decides to use her powers on her pumpkin and causes a brief power outage. When the lights come back on the pumpkin is oddly pulsating and uncomfortably warm to the touch. Baiken figures it's probably just about to explode or something and they go to take it outside before it suddenly grows a mouth and eyes and lets out the wettest gurgle she's ever heard. It looks like its entire existence is agony, it smells awful, there is a brief argument over responsibility and bringing life into this world. At least it looks scary The Bed's turn: At first, it seems like it's about to use its hand as a buzzsaw for carving, but then it decides not to. There's a collective sigh of relief until the Bed uses its laser instead. It gets the cleanest design out of all of them at the cost of getting yelled at for burning through the floor.

too busy to write rn which means I can’t write the fic I was planning for baikens birthday but it would have been PERFECT so I’m legally obligated to share with the rest of the class.

okay so yk how kids usually bake/ make things for their older family members because they don’t have money? yeah so Delilah is def one of those kids and she would have the idea to make Baiken breakfast in bed and Anji helps her and they all have breakfast together and there’s cute family snuggles and UGHHH 😭😭

anyway I promise I’m gonna actually get back to writing soon, but until I finish the two gift fics I’m working on and post them on ao3, you can enjoy the brainworms too and cry over them with me!!
