Resident Evil 1 Jill x female reader Gore, RE1 spoilers, zombies, little tiny bit of angst?, NO ai used, I happen to like using '-'
A series of mysterious deaths had occurred within the last few weeks just outside of Raccoon City in the Arklay Mountains. The Raccoon Police department dispatched their Special Tactics and Rescue Service: Bravo Team to investigate. Only 24 hours after the dispatch, the Bravo team went missing with no sign of their whereabouts. That was when they dispatched the Alpha Team...
What was supposed to be a simple search and rescue mission turned into a disaster within hours. The Alpha Team were attacked in the woods by a pack of seemingly rabid, undead dogs and were forced back into the nearest shelter- a mansion deep in the woods. In the middle of the night, stranded in an old mansion in the forest, they discovered something far worse than just rabid dogs.
Zombies... of their own Bravo Team...
Jill reloaded her gun as you shot down the dark hallway, lit only by candlelight. There was a sickening wail from the dark.
'Get in here!' She yelled to you, holding the mahogany door behind you open with her forearm. It was bleeding bad, wetting the delicately carved woodwork.
'We've got to look for any survivors!' you protested, but the look she gave you said what you were already thinking.
Could anyone survive this?
You listened and squeezed past the tight entrance. The door would only open so far on its rusted hinges. Jill shot one more time before slipping in behind you and using her shoulder to push it closed.
'Shit! it won't shut!'
A hand slipped through the crack- the hinges wouldn't budge even with her shoulder slamming into it. You ran to her side to help, but how were you any use like this? In shock and exhausted from the day of searching. She was too, but you weren't like her, no one on the team was, not even Chris. They both always had this sort of drive that the rest of the Bravo and Alpha team strived for.
'There's a knife on my belt!' She strained.
You looked up at her. Nothing was fully computing to you after seeing Kevin and Edward... after what those creatures did to them... What they did to the whole Bravo Team...
'Guess I'll do it myself,' Jill grunted and reached for her knife. The door pushed open and the zombie's head poked through. Not a moment later, her blade was hilt deep between its eyes. Once, twice, she stabbed it, getting its blood and... mysterious juices on her already injured arm. You stumbled backward from the force of the door and Jill stepping between the two of you. The zombie moaned and fell back. She kicked its foot out of the doorway and ran her shoulder into the mahogany one final time, closing it for good.
'What... the fuck.' she turned to you, tossing her now broken blade to the floor beside you.
She paused when she saw your face. Sighing, she held out her hand.
'C'mon. We need to find a way out of here.'
You took it and she pulled you up with her good arm.
'We need to find some herbs for you,' You finally spoke again, 'I've got bandages but... that looks close to getting infected.'
'I've got it handled, just look for a way out of here. There's got to be another exit, this place is full little passages,' she nodded to the rest of the room and slipped a bandage off of your belt.
'Right, handled,' you looked at her arm and shook your head, 'Where do we go from here?' you asked as you walked over to the oddly lit fireplace.
Could someone have really been occupying this hell hole recently?
Every candle and fireplace was lit, but there wasn't a living person in sight. Even the amount of zombies were scarce for such a huge mansion. It was the painting above the fireplace that caught your attention though. Part of it was ripped out and replaced with a piece from some other painting.
'Hm...' you hummed.
'We'll go find the rest of the team. After that? ...' she began, but there was a pause... 'We'll ask Wesker...'
Wesker
His name gave you some relief. He was your captain, and to you, he was a damn good one. He would know what to do. Jill grabbed some herbs from a nearby shelf, exhaling as she placed them onto her wound. She wrapped it in the bandages she took while you were busy looking around the room. It was cozy- sort of... in a mysterious sort of way. The walls were a burgundy red and the floors were made of the same creaky wood the door was. The fireplace was the only thing lighting the room apart from a single window. There was a piano, a statue of a knight, several bookshelves, a table with chair, etc, etc... Seemingly no other way out. On the other side of the door were three angry zombies and without checking your gun, you already knew you had zero to no bullets left- no way out. Minutes passed, but it felt like hours.
'Keeping yourself busy?' Jill asked, looking up and watching you pace and feel around walls, under carpets, and move books around.
'At least one of us is,' you retorted, then sighed, standing up straight and turning to her, 'sorry... I'm sorry. I'm stressed. Ignore me,' you ran your hands over your face.
It felt like the walls were closing in. The undead moaning from outside the door stayed consistent; it was clear no one was there to save you two and things were starting to feel suffocating. You went over to the knight statue and began to ravage it, looking for anything- ammo, a knife, more herbs, a key- anything. You felt like you were composed at first but now it was too obvious you were distressed.
I can't die here, you thought, not like this.
You heard Jill get up and the floorboards creak as she moved.
'You'll be alright. We'll get out of here,' she sounded sure, but you weren't sure how she could be.
'What if Wesker and Chris are dead too?' you were exasperated by the whole situation, 'Jill, c'mon,' you turned and she was right there.
'I know...' she said.
She could be so tender, but you didn't want that side of her right now. It made you feel like something was wrong. You felt better when she took charge, told you what to do. She stepped closer and grabbed your wrist. She flipped your palm up and emptied out some bullets into it.
'I'm not taking those,' you pushed your palm back into her.
'Yes, you are. In case we need them, you're a better shot than me,' she closed your palm and walked to the window.
That was a blatant lie, but you were a sucker for flattery. You watched her as you loaded them into your handgun. She opened the window and poked her head out, looking at the courtyard of the mansion and up at the side of it. She heard tapping against the wall and shot her head around. In a second she was back in and slamming the window shut.
'What?' you walked toward her, putting your hand on her shoulder.
'A spider,' she clinched her jaw.
'A spider,' you laughed, 'After all this, you're scared of a little spider?' you let go and walked to the window.
'Wait!' She said, stepping forward.
When you reached for the window, your hand instinctively drew back. A spider the size of three of those windows crawled past the outside of it. An involuntary shriek left your mouth as its hairy body grazed past the window, making loud tapping noises. Her hand was over it in a second. You gripped her wrist.
'Be quiet! Every zombie in the mansion will be at our door,' Jill hissed.
There was a hard banging against the door. Jill pulled her gun out and walked to it, putting her hand on it. She could feel the pressure from the blows. She cocked it and you did the same.
'How many bullets do you have?' you asked, looking at your gun, which only had the two bullets she gave you.
'One..' she let out a breath, 'It's fine, we won't need them. Chris and Wesker will be coming for us eventually.
'And if they don't?'
She looked at you again, staring for a second.
'Then they don't,' she said, but her shoulders sagged a little.
She banging was consistent, but the door held. She walked over to the fireplace and sat down on the carpet. She rested her elbows on her knees and put her head down.
'We were too late to save anyone anyways,' she said, voice sounding a little strained.
You moved closer and sat down beside her. Each bang on the door made your muscles tighten.
'We could still try... save people from whatever the hell infected the ones here,' you offered some comfort.
She looked at you, 'How do you propose we get out?'
'Errr...' your teeth clinched together and you looked around, 'Well, I've got a few, but you wouldn't like them,' you turned back to her.
She was looking at you with her head resting on her knee. Her eyes were red around the edges. You two weren't exactly rookies, but you'd never handled something to this scale, lost this many people, or been in this much danger. You were use to helping people, not yourselves.
'Jill...' you shook your head.
She lifted her, ignored her name and reached out for your neck. Her fingers grazed down the side where you'd gotten bit. You put some herbs on it earlier but there was still a mark. It hurt, but her hand was careful. You winced.
'You need to be more careful, we don't have many supplies left if we can't get to the ground floor soon. Rebecca has all of them...'
'Do you think she's-'
'Chris is with her.'
'But-'
'He wouldn't let anything happen to her,' she reassured.
There was a thick silence between the two of you for a moment. Her fingers were on the side of your neck as the fire crackled. The banging on the door seemed to fade as you got use to its consistent thumps. There had always been something between you two that the other members of the team couldn't quite understand like you two did. Maybe Rebecca could... but it was foreign to them how close you two really were- the way you were with each other.
'Jill...' you said again.
Her hand moved up to your hair and pulled you closer- her lips were on yours in a second. She leaned into you hard, almost knocking you back. When the next bang hit the door, her kiss got deeper. You didn't protest. Your lips were on hers too, noses brushing, hands tugging at each other.
The tapping on the outside of the window came back, making you jump. Jill pulled back, leaving your noses touching and lips brushing.
'What? Are you scared by a little spider?' she let out a breathy laugh.
'Fuck you,' you whispered with a faint smile, getting a good look at her face.
She titled her head a little, maintaining that look she'd always give you. You pulled back, really laughing this time.
'God,' you said, getting up, ' 'I'm sure you want to,' ' you mocked her voice.
You stepped back in front of the painting. If you stayed next to her too long you know you'd start getting emotional about everything and about her. You didn't really wanna look weak in front of her in the best of times. She wouldn't have said anything, but you already felt like pathetic for how you reacted to everything earlier. Her eyes followed you a moment longer before she stood up too, a new look on her face.
'Wait...' she moved you aside, getting a scoff from you.
She reached up to the missing side of the painting. It was a picture of a knight pointing a something with his sword, but whatever it was had been cut out. She looked back at the knight statue you had nearly jumped earlier.
'There she goes. Jill Valentine,' you said, crossing your arms as you watched.
She shook her head, but a slight smirk tugged at the corner of her lips. She walked over to the knight.
'Why don't you shut up and let me work,' she teased...
She pulled the sword down and heard something click from the bookshelf it was pointed at. She looked at you with raised brows.
'Guess there was no need for the goodbye kiss afterall...'
Part 1...? I hope you enjoyed it!!! I forgot how much I love writing fanfiction.

Bed Rotting All By Yourself, Handsome?
An original poem by RainbowRoseGames
Hey
The world isn't gonna end today
I know it may feel that way
That it's not worth it
But you're running out of the gift
Of the warm sunlight
I know you're stuck
I know that it's tough
I know that it really really sucks!
But it's worth the sacrifice
Just open up your eyes
Don't listen to those overpowering lies
I know you're trapped in your room
I know you think that you're through!
You had plans set for today
But you slept away the pain
And now it's too late!
But darling don't you fear
There's a saying I love to hear
The best time to plant a tree was so long ago
But the second best is now!
So get up
Don't give up on yourself, love
I know it's easy to want to disappear
But I'd much rather have you here
I don't mind that you're late!
I need to tell you I love you so
So darling please don't give up hope
Go take care of yourself
And when you're finally dressed up and maybe clean
You'll properly see the sunlight gleam!
