It all goes without a hitch, nothing unusual, nothing in the routine on your end changing - until you get a letter back with handwriting you don’t recognize and you realize that your letter to Lieutenant Riley was delivered. Just not to the right one. Or: Reader has a hobby sending letters to soldiers overseas and sends out a letter to one of her usual penpals - a Lieutenant Riley. But this time it’s delivered to a Lt. S. Riley, not her usual Lt. C. Riley
A Cat Named Gadget (completed) Johnny finds Gadget about a month after being officially medically discharged from the military. He’s pissed about the discharge - how can he not be? - but Gadget makes it a bit better.
Single mom!Reader Somehow being a single mother translated well into dealing with men in the military.

For other people following along for my COD PenPals fic - I have not abandoned it! I'm still writing, I've just not been as satisfied with where it was going so I'm taking my time to plan a little better so it gets the ending it deserves. I also plan to start prepping it to be added onto AO3 hopefully soon 💕

He is made with felt that I plan to paint a little bit. Eventually I'll make a slightly bigger version that's weighted once I get my hands on some bean bags.
