I took the photograph a few months ago. I took the image and mirrored it onto the left and trace over the ripples of water with a shadow tool to create a more dramatic effect as well as the central geometric shapes. The ducks symbolize the gender identity we each have inside of us. The black outline and frames represent the confines of society forcing us to follow gender lines and roles to define ourselves. The vibrant colors through the water and backround simply show my vibrant aesthethic and colorful mind. A Masculine Female and a Feminine Male, the wonders of society don't always prevail.
