With her suspicion confirmed, Sandy had to accept the fact that nooboo #3 was on the way. Virginia would be home from school any minute, so Sandy retreated upstairs to her bedroom. She needed some time to process the situation. Besides, she thought Ham should be the first to hear the news, even if there was a good chance it wasn’t his, he was still her husband. It’s not like he would know, right? She could keep it a secret, couldn’t she? (Got my fingers crossed for the Hart nose!)

Those pancakes certainly hit the spot, but the comfort was short lived. Sandy could barely admit it to herself, but these feelings; the sickness, tiredness, and cravings, reminded her of how she felt when she had been pregnant with Virginia and Rocky all those years ago.

Sandy waited until the rest of the family left for the day before coming downstairs for breakfast. Daytona’s leftover omelettes were awaiting her in the fridge, but the smell of eggs made Sandy feel like she could barf. She wasn’t feeling well again today, but that didn’t stop her from making the pancakes she’d been craving.

Her delicious breakfast didn’t stay down for very long. Sandy tried to distract her mind by watching today’s episode of her favorite soap, “As The Plumbob Turns”, but no amount of television drama was enough to distract her from her own. She just couldn’t stop all the “what ifs” running through her head. The biggest one being, “What if it isn’t Ham’s?”
