Isamu Noguchi: Dining-room Table (1948) Laminated white Beech Wood
Decollatura, Calabria, Italy
Walking through the town you will be able to admire enchanting views and the ancient houses characterized by the "rapillu" stone, a river stone used to clad houses.
The area is characterized by a wide valley and is surrounded by chestnut, oak and fir forests which create fantastic atmospheres and provide pleasant coolness in summer.
In Decollatura, by trekking, mountain biking or simply walking through the woods, you will be able to admire a splendid natural landscape, and stop to drink the fresh spring water of Mount Reventino from one of the many fountains along the route.
Decollatura is renowned above all for the cultivation of potatoes, the quality of which is particularly appreciated, and for the suppressata, one of the most famous cured meats in Italy, which finds in this climate the ideal conditions to achieve that right flavor and unmistakable aroma.

I may have accidentally sent an unfinished version of this ask, so sorry if I did!! Anyways this is kind of a trivial question but I was curious about what bonefall ThunderClan would do with the beech tree that fell into camp in OotS (since they have basic tools and such)? If I remember correctly they just leave it in canon, but what about in an au where they have more technology? Would they harvest it? Hollow it out? Or maybe just leave it there out of respect?
Y'know, the funny thing about beech trees is that they are ROCK hard. Like, RIDICULOUSLY strong. But they actually make this super amazing material, because they bend easily when exposed to steam and then keep that shape.
But another odd thing is that Beech trees... they're mostly a Southern English thing. They're invasive in Northern England where I write the story, mostly planted by human beings to get those beech nuts, but have a hard time self-propagating. It's interesting to think that the beech is proof that humans have been meddling in the area around the Lake territory
I wasn't really thinking about it before this ask tbh, but yeah, they'd probably have to leave it. I don't imagine they have axes or any other timber-moving tool besides a spare Lionblaze. They could break the branches off and use those, though. That's good timber.
If they WERE a little more advanced though, christ, they'd be all over that beech wood. That's a very difficult timber to get in this part of England, grows slow, is ideal for tools and heavily-used furniture, and is super prone to bugs and decay. They'd want to strip that tree right away and get it stored before it rotted.
Orto 53 shelf by Zweithaler
The Austrian, Graz based design and Architecture studio Zweithaler created this Orto 53 shelf as a follow-up project of the idea to conect horizontal boards by skewed poles, which they tested in earlyier art and concept projects. This beech and MDF wood shelf is going to be produced by Mutamo and will be followed by a larger version.
