Fight or flight of the bumblefreeze
I think they call that a swarm.
I think it was redwinterroses who was talking on stream about how a lot of servers develop their own corruption block or lore, and in the chat we got to discussing the sort of corruption that's going on on our own servers.
And I talked about the bees.
So, I play on a little server with my irl friends, and we have a bit of an issue. With bees. We have never bred them, and yet they keep multiplying exponentially due to some sort of server glitch.
And because we're all dramatic and slightly unhinged, we decided to start building some sort of lore off of this glitch.
We built shrines to the bees, built a little house for a beekeeper (Herobrine) next to my apiary, which seemed to be the source of the spread. To everyone's surprise, the spread actually pretty much stopped after this. We thought we'd somehow fixed it.
Until tonight.
So, as it turns out, the bees just stopped multiplying in captivity. Instead, they started multiplying in the wild.
This is my friend Soph's hill behind her base:
Doesn't look too bad, right? Just a couple of bees?
That's only the ones I could get in the frame.
So, we decided to run around with a bunch of leads and gather up all the wild bees.
Here are the results:
After 1 small mountain peak:
Soph appearing over the hill:
Our combined finds from 1 hill:
Our final total after the whole swarm got blown up by creepers twice and we started collecting again from scratch:
So... this is the state of our server right now. Soph has decided it should be called the SMBee. She has made this pun 10 times tonight. We are both slowly losing our sanity. I want to build lore from this somehow.
Wings of Fire things that aren't talked about, part 2
Yeah, this is a series from when I talked about Skywing Champions.
Quick side note, ignore the song of the sea tag, I was browsing this when I made this post, we apologize for the interruption and send you back to your usual programming.
Does anyone remember that the Nightwings apparently produce a biological bacteria, and hunt in the same way Komodo dragons do? It's been a while, so I'm not fully versed in the physical aspects of this, but it would be something cool to see in fanart, teeth and/or nostril shape being similar to the largest lizard on earth. Not fanart from me, I'm not the best at it, and I don't plan on drawing more Nightwings, the last time I outlined all the scale patterns from the guide at the start of the books only to realise I needed to colour the whole damn thing black anyway.
Beekeeper blooming deads! Blooming dead universe settings from @otherwindow
Since last time @otherwindow said plague doctor suit could be for florists specific, I raise you beekeeper suit too. Inspiration from renaissance bee keepers :p
I feel like bee keepers would be very important for towns in blooming dead settings too, for providing both stability of food and little cute pollinators!
Yes, totally not running away from Christmas homework, yep, totally not
