Ingredients: 1 lb thinly sliced beef. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 1 red bell pepper, sliced. 1 green bell pepper, sliced. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon oyster sauce. 1 tablespoon Szechuan sauce. 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste. 1/2 teaspoon sugar. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 green onions, chopped for garnish. Cooked rice for serving.
Instructions: Thinly slice the beef and marinate it in a bowl with sugar, oyster sauce, Szechuan sauce, red pepper flakes, and a little salt. Give it ten minutes to settle. In a big skillet or wok, heat up one tablespoon of vegetable oil on high heat. After adding the marinated beef, stir-fry it for two to three minutes, or until it is well cooked and browned. After taking the steak out of the skillet, set it aside. Add the final tablespoon of vegetable oil to the same skillet. Stir-fry the ginger and garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds. To the skillet, add the sliced onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. Stir-fry the vegetables for 34 minutes, or until they begin to soften but don't get too soft. Before tossing everything together, return the cooked steak to the skillet. Cook the beef for a further one to two minutes to thoroughly heat it. If necessary, add more salt and pepper to the seasoning. Garnish the spicy ginger Szechuan beef stir-fry with chopped green onions and serve it over cooked rice. Savor your homemade dish that tastes like spicy takeout!
