(Comic reads top > bottom, right > left) Some concept sketches I did for my own interpretation of the trainer Dust, from the pokepasta "Hell Bell"!

I feel like trying to focus on the story in a "pokemon is the real world for the characters" context runs a huge risk of flattening the base story, but I couldn't resist thinking about if Dust were their own entity for a second! I've even considered how I'd adapt the story to an in-game only context, it still loses the marvelous wall-breaking of the original but I feel like I did a decent job with the reframing! Maybe if I do more with Dust I'll post more about that... (or if anyone asks, too, I don't mind sharing ahfjsjf)

All that said... Pretty much the second I finished sketching Dust I was possessed with the desire to just. Oc-ify him for my own, so... It's entirely possible I'll just adapt him for my own stories outside of all of that! xD We'll have to see, I've been busy irl lately so it may be a while before anything makes it here...
