All the #sketchadaymay2025 sketches!
Cheers, Everyone 💕
I went ahead and released the remaining Naruto posts I've had sitting in my drafts.
I think it's fair to say I'm out of my Naruto phase. Historically, this means I'll be back in Naruto hell in about 10 years, give or take. Small relapses may sporadically occur in between.
Now begs the question whether to just post all fanart here or do as I've already done and spin off a new sideblog for the next fixation....
However, I am quite fond of this blog.
If you were just here for Naruto (hilarious because TobiIzu is such a small non-canon portion of that), see you next decade? TobiIzu had a huge impact on me for a number of reasons, so a TobiIzu relapse is highly likely. But. I am softly gently affectionately placing them on my mental shelf.
Follow, unfollow, whatever, feel free to come and go as you like. This is tumblr, you curate the stuff you wanna see.
And thanks for stopping by 💕
Thinking about the advancement of medical technology in Konoha (it wouldn't be the first time - technically a small mention here)
Headcanon where Hashirama is excellent at healing, it is almost thoughtless, vibing action for him to apply hands and heal. He is perhaps not the most efficient, but when he has as massive of chakra reserve as he does, it just doesn't matter.
Tobirama, ever the exacting scientist, overthinks and micromanages every physiological process he is aware of at the time. Because medical knowledge is not as advanced as it will become, there are knowledge gaps and thus his healing is imperfect yet passable patch jobs. He is also mentally exhausted from the amount of fine control this requires, because, again, the micromanaging.
Tsunade comes around with greater medical knowledge and thus improves efficiency and procedure of healing.
Then Sakura, who is the best of all worlds (despite canonically lower chakra reserve), equipped with medical advancements in knowledge and technology of the modern era plus excellent chakra control means that, though she could not have gone this far without standing on the shoulders of her predecessors (as anyone does in modern technology), has perfected iryojutsu.
Queen behavior, love that for her.
@tisslesu yeah i watch this movie a lot
if something i drew makes you think of That Scene it was probably intentional (and if unintentional likely just plain heavily influenced)
not me, permanently altered by the power of handholding shots in media
context: this drawing
see also: explicitly mentioned at the bottom of the post for this comic
probably influenced a bit in this one, too
i'm sure there are others, these are just off the top of my head that give me the vibe of That Scene.
I've gone on a tobiizu rabbit hole and I just. Really like your art. Something about it is just so. Mwah. Beautiful. The intimacy and the way you draw your characters idk man.
Scratch that make that all of your characters coz I just went on another rabbit hole (aka team 7 shenanigans which 🥹 domestic feels my beloved...)
My favorite thing is the way you draw tobiizu, bc most of the other art are a lot angsty and shit (plus rly feminine Izu and hypermasc Tobi which is cool but all the time?? It also skews their interactions a lot and doesn't have much happy endings or at least just them being happy...). Yours are like. A warm hug r some shit. Ugh I don't have the words for it (T^T), bear with my crude language plz.
It's just all so good. 🤧 Makes me go AAAAAA
Love, love your art ❤
aw dude bruh reading that my art is like a warm hug has got to be one of the most validating things i've had told to me 🥺 (clenching fist "mission accomplished")
thank you so much for the kind words. ❤️
it's true, i'm somewhat allergic to tragic endings and will tend to strongly diverge from them--and yeah, tobiizu has all the setup of ending badly 999 times out of a 1000. But I'm a sucker for the underdog story of triumph 🥲
i just want my blorbos to be happy, your honour. fluff and romance and wholesomeness feed my soul. if i want tragedy i've got it in spades from canon. and if i inflict tragedy i'm gonna make it have a happy ending idk what to tell y'all, i'm very predictable.
anyway. i'm happy to hear that my art spoke to you in such a way. cheers
I want you to know I vibed throughout your sketch a day May challenge - particularly to these three: 1. The jonin AU- perfect disgruntled/uncaring expression and body language! I'd LOVE to know what they're bickering about. 2. No room in the alleyway - love this trope, love the perfect mix of discomfort and faint blushing. 3. Can't let it go - because of the highlighting around Izuna's eye - gorgeously atmospheric. Thank you for drawing!
awww thanks for enjoying my art! <3
I would love to revisit the Jounin AU - I have a lot of thoughts about them in modern times.......................
Anyway they're probably arguing about something incredibly mundane like the minutiae of mission protocol but it's rife with subtext and poorly-disguised banter-foreplay.
RIP to anyone unfortunate enough to eavesdrop on that.
beemo………. it’s the way izuna seems to always look at tobirama through his lashes…….. i’m WEAK
ngl you had my scrolling through my posts to confirm that indeed I draw Izuna in that half-lidded stare Pretty Dang Often.
as an artist, I want to strive for more variety in general, for, y'know, skill growth - but as a tobiizu shipper, I can't help but depict Izuna wanting his Senju.
i gotta do what i gotta do 🤷
