This was hard to write bc I was writing about something I don't even do...

2022. A new year. And with a new year, comes new resolutions.

"Hey love, what'd you choose for your new year's resolution?" Y/n looked up at Draco from her drink and smiled. "I wanna start going to the gym more. Like actually go to the gym. Maybe lift a few... hundred pounds..?" Draco stifled a laugh at this. "Maybe try staring smaller." Y/n rolled her eyes at his amused expression.

"You'll see, I'm gonna lift 300lbs and then I'm gonna laugh in your face." Draco sighed. "Alright then, let's go. I'll get the keys." Y/n froze. "Now?" Draco nodded and already started walking out the door, Y/n following behind him.

When they got to the gym Draco regularly goes to, they got Y/n a membership and went inside. Y/n went for the 300lbs barbells and took one. Her arms were immediately weighed down and the weight dropped to the ground. "Hey hey hey, you need to stretch first. You don't wanna pull something." Y/n scoffed and rolled her eyes. "And waist valuable time? Sure..."

She started lifting the weight as Draco moved behind her, ready to take it at any time. Y/n lifted it higher, almost getting it, but her hands slipped. The weight fell from her hands, Draco grabbing it the second it fell and pulled it up to his chest before he let it back down.

Y/n rolled her eyes. "Show off." Her eyes locked on his biceps, watching as they tensed. "Enjoying yourself?" Y/n nodded dazedly. "Just peachy."

Draco's POV

I watched as she screamed, I watched as she pushed me away, I watched as she left. I watched. I just watched. I didn't fight, or try to get her to stay. Just stood still as I watched her walk out the door for the final time, knowing I'd never see her come through it again.

The one thing I didn't expect was for her to move on so fast. It's only been what, a week? And she's already off snogging some bloke in an empty classroom. What a slu- no, no. That's what got me here in the first place. I told her I'd change so it's time I start proving it.

But seeing his arm wrapped snugly around her shoulders in my place set something off in my mind.

"Oh so you think you can go running around like a slut only a week after we broke up? You're nothing but a filthy, useless whore." I sneered. I didn't mean it, I love her. A lot. She's my everything and I drove her away by saying things like that.

"This. This is exactly why I broke up with you." She shook her head and sped off. The guy she was with pushed me. "Back off man, not cool." He spat before running after Y/n. I just stood still. Again. Because I'm a fucking coward.

I sighed as I entered the dorm we used to share. I still hadn't taken out any of our pictures, they mean too much to me. She means too much to me. She's something I never want to let go, but I don't even have her. I can't call her mine. I gave that right up.

But even if I can't call her mine, I will always be hers.

Confessions

A hand wrapped tightly around her neck, the man above her roughly pounding his hips into hers. His thumb circling her clit in the most perfect way.

Then it all went white.

Ears ringing and heart thumping against her rib cage. The only feeling left was the feeling of his thick length coating her velvet walls before the feeling left, making her hiss.

"Hey, hey. It's alright, are you ok? I didn't go too rough did I?" Draco's voice was soft and soothing. Y/n shook her head softly and tiredly. "Ok, I'm gonna go get something to clean you up, I'll be right back." He said and leaned down to kiss her head gently.

Y/n's senses came back slowly, first her sight, then her hearing, then the feeling of touch. It all came back to her and suddenly, she realized she was wrapped up in Draco's arms as he lightly stroked her back. It's strange, She thought, If we're 'just friends' then why do we act like this? I mean I get the whole 'friends with benefits' thing, but this? She sighed and looked up at Draco's face.

"Hey Draco?" He hummed and looked down at her lovingly. "Hey, you ok? You were pretty out of it earlier." He chuckled out. Y/n nodded. "Yeah yeah I'm fine, I just had a thought." She paused. "Well what is it?" Y/n sighed before answering. "I-I like what we have going here, I do but-" "oh no, don't tell me you're in love with me. I mean I get it, I do, but seriously?" He said jokingly. Y/n rolled her eyes. "No, I was just wondering... if we're 'friends with benefits', why do we do this?" She gestured to they're close proximity and the hand running up and down her back. "It just seems kinda...i don't know, couple-y?"

Draco rose his eyebrow and took a breath, the air thick and tense. Y/n avoided his eyes until he spoke. "What the hell are you talking about?" His voice sounded slightly angry. "What, are you saying that we're getting too close to your liking? Is that it?! Or is it that you just don't like that you might actually be staring to tolerate me? Hm? Is that what the big issue is?!" He yelled as he stood up from the bed. Y/n shook her head in shock. "That's not what I said. All I said was that we're starting to look less like friends and more like, hmm, maybe a couple?! Unless you all of a sudden have no problem with that!" Y/n voice rose as she continued to speak.

Draco scoffed. "Why would I have a problem with it?! I fucking love you! You're all I fucking think about! All that I look forward to seeing everyday! You're the only reason I am still even on this stupid planet!" He was fuming, not even comprehending what he just admitted. "You- y-you love me?" She let out a shaky breath as she spoke softly. "I- yes. How could I not? You're smart, funny, you light up every room you even look at, not just walk into, a-and you have a most beautiful smile that can make anyone's day even just a bit brighter. Of course I fucking love you."

They both stood still from shock. "I-" Y/n tried finding words but non came out. She let out a sigh as she walked over to him. Grabbing his neck she finally spoke, "I love you too." She smile as she moved his head down to kiss him softly. It was pure magic.

Y/n walked into the office with her phone to her ear and a tablet in her hand. She grabbed a coffee from the hand of an unsuspecting lady walking by. She took a sip and spit it out. "This is not my order, are you that incompetent? You're fired." The lady stared at her in shock. "I'm serious, leave." She sped out the door with tears in her eyes. Y/n rolled her eyes and walked into her office. Draco followed after her with her coffee and a report of what need to happen throughout the day.

"Hello Miss Y/l/n." Y/n hummed. "Hi, put the report over on my desk, you know where, and put the coffee in my hand. When you're done, get out of my office and my sight." Draco nodded silently and did as asked before walking out of the office and to his desk. He sighed and look at the door to his boss's office.

"Dude. You need to stop staring." Blaise's voice brought him back to reality. "You know she doesn't like you, just stop trying." He rolled his eyes and walked to get water, Draco followed after. "But like, how do I know that cor sure?" Blaise sighed and gave Draco a pointed look. "It's pretty obvious." "Ok well 'pretty obvious' isn't a definite no. I've still got a shot." Draco tried hopefully. Blaise shook his head in amusement. "Whatever you say, bud." He patted his back as he walked away, leaving Draco in thought. "I have to at least try." He huffed to himself and walked to Y/n's door.

He knocked quietly on the door before opening it. "Umm, Miss Y/l/n?" He asked as he walked in. Y/n's head shot up from her hands and she quickly wiped her face to look presentable. "What is it?" Her voice was slightly hoarse and broken. "I, uh, I was wondering if I could speak to you later. I mean I know how you don't like anything that isn't scheduled, so I thought if I asked ahead of time..." Y/n cleared her throat. "Well I don't have anything scheduled for the next five minutes so you can talk now." Draco's eyes widened. "Oh, I jus- ok..." He sat down and patted his thighs before speaking.

"What I wanted to ask was, um.. if you-" "Before you continue, I want to make something clear. If you're going to ask for a promotion, you are at the highest point you can be at right now. If you are going to ask for a raise I do not have the resources at this time. And if you are going to ask for an early bonus, again, I do not have the resources at this time." She closed her hands together as she finished talking. "Uh actually I was gonna ask if you.. maybe... wanted to go to dinner with me..?" He avoided her eyes as a tense silence fell over them.

Y/n sighed. "That is a highly inappropriate thing you ask of from me." Draco sighed and stood up. "Alright. I'll get back to work then..." He started walking to the door when Y/n stopped him. "But, I think I may be able to make an exception this once." Draco let a small smile form on his face. "Thank you, you won't regret it-" "On one condition..." Y/n paused fro a moment (dramatic pause). "I get to pick the restaurant." Draco let out a sigh and nodded. "Alright now go put that on my calendar for this Saturday." Draco let out a huff if laughter. "What? You said it yourself, I things scheduled. Now go do your job." She said with a smile. The first smile that's reached her eyes in years.

Walk In The Snow

----------------------

Silky h/c hair, big e/c eyes, and that adorable smile that could make anyone blush, even the darkest of souls. Even Draco Malfoy.

She walks down the corridors with her books against her chest and the cutest rosie cheeks caused by the crisp winter air. "Hey Y/l/n." Draco says as Y/n walks toward him. He didn't mean to sound aggressive, but it came out like that, causing Y/n to jump a but. It broke his heart.

"H-hi..." She wouldn't even look at him. Draco sighed. "Sorry if I scared you." Y/n's eyes shot up to look at him in surprise. "I just... I wanted to know if you'd like to go on a walk out in the snow." Draco hunched his shoulders a bit trying to make himself smaller. "I- sure." Y/n smiled, making Draco's knees weak. "Great."

While walking Draco showed Y/n a few spells he'd just learned to do. He disappeared, and reappeared behind a tree making Y/n giggle with joy and clap her hands like a young child. Draco noticed her shivering and took of his coat to wrap around her. He then took them both to The Three Broomsticks for a late lunch and warm Butterbeer her hand in his the whole time.

"You didn't really tell me why you wanted to come with you..." Y/n said quietly. Draco chuckled. "Is it not obvious?" Y/n just looked at him. Draco cleared his throat before continuing. "I- um, I like you." He looked down at his Buttebeer, avoiding Y/n's gaze.

When he finally did look up, Y/n was smiling that cute smile that always made his heart beat faster and he blushed. He opened his mouth to say something, but Y/n's arms wrapped around him in a big hug making him tense up before relaxing into her touch and smiling.

"I- I like you too." Y/n whispered in his ear, her arms still around him. Draco hugged her waist and she settled on his lap. He rubbed her back and Y/n started feeling sleepy, her eyes closing slowly.

"I don't know if you're awake, but I'm really glad I asked you to come with me. I love you my little angel." Y/n smiled tiredly against his shoulder. "I love you too." She hummed before sleep caught up to her, light snores passing through her parted lips.
