The most amazing thing about Hunger games is how Katniss isn't a 'chosen one' like so many dystopian stories (cough Divergent cough). Katniss is a normal girl like everyone else. The only reason she was chosen by Plutarch to be the mockingjay was because she volunteered as tribute so her sister wouldn't die, because of her kindness. If she hadn't volunteered, she wouldn't have met Plutarch and he would have probably chosen someone else. Maybe Peeta, maybe some other random district kid, but the point is, it was never supposed to be Katniss from the very beginning, she just gradually craved that path for herself. Katniss' Revolution didn't just happen out of nowhere, it was a build up of SO many other rebellious!
-Theres Lucy Gray, who gave the game makers a hell of a ride, and escaped Snow (hopefully).
-Theres Haymitch who used the Arena to his advantage AND made Snow own up to his sins by placing Louella's dead body infront him and clapping.
-Theres Johanna whos..literally Johanna. Fighting for herself so that she's not sold, despite her family being threatened to be killed, and her lie of being weak and then ending up winning the games.
-Theres Lenore Dove who stopped a hanging from happening, I'm pretty sure. (but the guy was shot) And caused a fire or something under the stage from where the districts are reaped, and how she keeps going to jail but doesn't care.
-We have Beete who also did something to the reaping stage.
-Effie helping Katniss and Peeta.
-Peeta doing a painting of Rue during his skill interview.
And then it all leads to Katniss who is the final push of the button thanks to all Those before her.
I love
