Hey Elise! Your blog always cheers me up. I saw your service dog enjolras hc that you did a few posts back and loved it! was wondering if you could do a Enjorltaire hc where Grantaire is in a wheelchair. I am, and there is so little written about it. It would make my day. ily :)
I have the feeling Grantaire plays “they see me rolling” on his phone every time he joins a meeting at the Musain. It’s his kind of humour.
When Enjolras isn’t leading a demonstration himself, he’s most often with Grantaire. Demonstration crowds aren’t exactly the calmest throngs.
“You do know I can use my arms just fine, don’t you?”
“I was just curious what sort of flowery insult you’d hurl to the cops this time. You’re very talented for that sort of things.”
Some roads in Paris have really coarse cobbles, apparently to keep the charm and boheme authenticity of certain areas, and though they’re beautiful, they’re a pain in the ass to navigate in a wheelchair, not to mention the many slopes. Grantaire loves Paris, but he doesn’t love it enough to endure that.
So for one of their dates, Enjolras drove them up Montmartre, which is exceedingly beautiful but unfortunately cobbled.
“Okay, so we’re not going to go up Montmartre, we’re gonna go down. And get a drink at the bottom.”
“Enj’... Don’t get me wrong, that’s very very cool but... I’d have to be on the road to do that. The rest is just cobbles and back pain.”
“Great, so you’ll get to flip some people off!”
Now that is something Grantaire excels in.
