Hey. Do you think part of the reason Stanley was running for mayor was to give him a “reason” to stay in gravity falls after ford kicked him out at the end of the summer? So he could say “I can’t leave yet, I’m the mayor!” So he could have the chance to run into ford again? Food for thought :)
I like post portal incident fiddlestan and post canon fiddlestan in very different ways
Post portal incident they are two guys having the worst time of their lives hatefucking
Post canon they’re two old exes with brain damage honestly just having a good time. They’re not together but they do fuck. And flirt. And frequently text. And Stan is Mcguckets sugar baby.
Ford would drink fruity ass cocktails that are so sweet a normal person would have a heart attack. Stan would drink the nastiest vodka and whiskey known to man and pretend he likes it, but would take sips of fords drinks when he thinks no one’s looking
Somewhere rattling around in my skull is a timestuck/twinstuck au where, instead of the Stan twins getting stuck with younger versions of their brother, they get stuck with younger versions of themselves. I think baby Stan (Lee) would be very angry at mullet Stan for refusing to tell him why Stan was living without Ford, and seemingly had been for a long while. Stan would be annoyed at his younger self and his childlike view of the world (bro he IS a child).
MEANWHILE, baby Ford (Sixer) would be PISSED at adult Ford for the shit he says abt Stan. Sixer has decided that Ford clearly isn’t taking care of his Stan and is revoking his Stan privileges!! Ford at first tries to do something similar to Canon Ford's apprenticeship offer to Dipper (just till Sixer and Lee went home), but Sixer instead goes “hmm no I think you should leave and the Stans and I can hang out in this cool town while you work on getting us back. :)”
Lee thinks Ford is the coolest guy ever (aside from Sixer ofc, he holds the no. 1 spot) and wants to hang out with him very much (Sixer will not let this happen on his watch!! He revoked fords Stan privileges!!). Any time they’re in a room together Sixer is also there. Glaring. Ford has so many mixed feelings abt Lee and he will be examining none of them of his own free will.
Sixer and Stan have a tiny chihuahua trying to protect a Doberman vibe, it’s very cute. Stan can’t look at Sixer for too long without ‘getting dust in his eye’. Sixer is continuing to glare heavily at Ford.
Ford and Stan are having many emotions, which we all know goes very well. Surely nothing will end up boiling to the surface and exploding :).
Anyway yada yada learning to love yourself, forgiveness, family, all the fun stuff.
Gifted child syndrome Ford who made it to West Coast Tech and burnt out immensely aoughhh…
A question Ghostly Fall.
How did Filbrick react to how WCT retracted their Acceptance of Stanford’s admission, how did he take Stanley’s disappearance? Is he saddened that his son was gone, is he relieved that the leech was out, or was just as angry at him, because, thanks to Stanley “Running Away” without a word, he essentially got ford technically expelled.
After Stan disappeared Filbrick originally thought he had ran off because he had finally realized he was “dragging down” his brother. He assumed Stan would come back once he got a taste of the real world, that it would put him on the straight and narrow. However, as time went on he did begin to worry. However, people like him tend to turn all emotions into anger, and that’s exactly what happened. He saw how Ford and Caryn were affected and got more and more angry, insisting that Stanley had simply run off and they were better off without him.
And then Stanford was caught breaking into the police station to see what they had on Stanley’s case file. This was a huge deal in glass shard, it made newspapers “Academic Honors Student Breaks into Police Station” ect. Since this was his first offense+everyone knew how badly his brother disappearance had affected him, he got very lucky and was let off on a sort of parole.
Filbrick absolutely would have tossed Ford out right then and there if they weren’t being scrutinized so closely by the entire town. Since he couldn’t do that, he instead decided to close Stan’s missing persons case. He had him declared dead, held a funeral, and wouldn’t hear a single word otherwise. As far as he was concerned Stanley was dead, no matter what his wife and remaining sons said.
Of course, the rest of his family did not take this well. Ford completely refused to go to the funeral, instead choosing to stay at home. Caryn went, but refused to speak to Filbrick for months afterwards. Shermie had been visiting and wanted to stay with Stanford, but also didn’t want to miss the funeral incase Stanley actually was dead.
Woof that’s a lot, thank you for letting me ramble :}
For the Ghostly Falls AU
What were Ford’s college years, like? Did the devastation of Stanley’s disappearance make him Dropout of West Coast Tech?
If he dropped out did he face the same reaction of Filbrick’s anger and was kicked out for giving up all those millions of dollars?
Did he even enjoy his time at WCT, cause if you asked me that place was an elitesit den of vanity filled “Pigs in power.” Who bullied him for his deformity, for him not being rich.
He also would’ve hated his roommate unlike Fiddleford. (Possibly one of the Sibling Brothers or a Northwest “Preston’s Uncle?”)
His professors wouldn’t have actually given him the time of day, or straight up ignored him.
Basically Ford’s dream school would turn into a Nightmare and thanks to Lee disappearing he ultimately gives up and just becomes self taught, without any “real” accreditation.
Thank you for asking!! Ford actually never made it to WCT, this time not because of the perpetual motion machine, but because he completely gave up on schooling after Stanley disappeared. He dedicated all his time to figuring out where Stan was, and doing so involved a good bit of crime. He broke into their high school at night, and when that didn’t give him any new information he decided to break into the police station… it went poorly. At that point he was running on fumes, about as bad as he was before the portal incident.
He ended up going to Backupsmore, not as an alternative to WCT, but because it was that or prison time. Essentially, it was parole, a chance to prove he could use that big brain of his for good. He got off easy because before that point he was a model student, and people were sympathetic to him losing his brother.
As for Filbrick and Caryn… well things also go poorly there. Loss can bring people together, but it can also tear them apart, and that’s exactly what happened to the Pines family after Stan’s “death”. Caryn enabled Ford's searching for answers, insisting that if Stanley was dead she would have felt it, while Filbrick claimed to believe that Stanley had simply run off, that he’d be back as soon as he saw what the “real world” was like. When that didn’t happen, he insisted the case was closed and that Stan was dead, wouldn’t hear a word otherwise.
When Ford was caught breaking into the police station, it was BAD. Filbrick probably would’ve thrown Ford out if they weren’t in the middle of a police investigation and being heavily scrutinized. As it was, he refused to visit him in jail, and then refused to see him again afterwards. The last time Ford saw Filbrick was when he was gathering his stuff to head to backupsmore.
On the bright side, he and his mother ended up very close 🎉🎉 aaaaand he still almost never sees her :/ He’s got too much research to do on solving cold cases and ghosts!! On another bright side he gets to meet Fiddleford! Yayy his life doesn’t completely suck!
And now picture a ghostly Stan watching his brother throw his life away and his family fall apart while being able to do nothing about it :}
Thank you for giving me a chance to ramble!! I really need to finish the ghostly falls comic I started lol
