(After a while, Beetle stirs a little. The sunburns along her shoulders look worse than before, as well as the ones on her face. Xey open xer eyes briefly and mumble something incoherently.

She knows leaving was a horrible idea. She knows that Scratch is going to be upset)

(Rig had since gone back to his room, leaving Scratch to watch Beetle while he went to take care of some things on the radio. As Beetle stirs, Scratch doesn't really react. Of course, zey're glad she's okay, but he doesn't really know how to feel.)

Beetle?

(He sounds exhausted and irritated.)

(Beetle is no longer on the couch and her radio is also gone. There's a small note that reads "I'm sorry.")

(Scratch hadn't slept in a few days, since he figured out Beetle had gone back. He'd finally crashed after spending a while keeping an eye on her, keeping himself up to the point his eyelids were heavy and everything felt like it was moving slower than usual. Though, he didn't sleep for very long, waking up from a nightmare after about 3 hours.

He sighs as he gets up to go get some water, passing the empty couch on his way. After a moment, he registers that it's empty, and whips around to see the note. As he reads it, his stomach twists in knots.)

Shit, motherfucker-

(He scrambles to get his shoes and Rig's keys, then rushes outside, seeing her shoeprints in the dust and starting to follow them.)

(Beetle flicks through frequencies and stops on Scratch's. A sniffle and pained groan can be heard before she starts talking. Xe sounds exhausted and very, very pained)

... Scratch..?

(He almost falls on his face running to answer his radio, which was sitting in the kitchen. Some shuffling can be heard as he clicks on the microphone.)

--Beetle? Witch, 're you okay?--

(The door opens, followed by frantic skittering of claws on the floor. Beetle's breathing hard, wrangling in the coyote and trying to keep it from running off)

Look what I found! :]

(He'd been fiddling with one of Scratch's little tinkering projects, trying to figure out what the hell the intention was. Though, the sound of skittering claws and dog-like panting makes him drop it on reflex, the device shattering into bits on the floor. He immediately goes into fight or flight, staring at the coyote and shuffling back into the wall before glancing at Beetle.)

Out. Get it out.
