This is my first hooping video. Hopefully, I get better. But here's where I am now.

If you're just tuning in
Welcome to night two of my re-living and recording of my hoop journey.
I used to be unable to watch these early videos - I was so terrible, and I knew it. I had no confidence in my moves, flow, or rhythm. This shows, easily, in a hooper. We must control, manipulate our objects - and maybe let them control and manipulate us, too.
Here's me practicing behind-the-back elbow passes - https://vimeo.com/39091221 - this hoop was a little heavy to be using to learn this trick, but it also has a slower rotation, so that was my reason for choosing it, I think. I think it's neat how I can see my development with this trick throughout the whole two minutes - somany drops, but towards the end I'm certainly getting it.
Oh yeah - this one was filmed in July of '11. And I'm shoulder hooping in it, and I feel like shoulder hooping took me for god damn ever to get down. But, it was probably really only a few days.
