I want to make this school year the healthiest and most productive of my time here at [University]. I’ve made it my goal to work up to exercising 6 days a week (weight training and running being my faves, but I’d like to learn how to swim eventually (I can doggy paddle, but can’t really navigate underwater: if I can’t touch the floor, I can’t make my way to the top).
Anyways, I’m on day 3 of exercising right now (I started on Saturday, and missed (I started saturday and missed one day Monday). And I’m incredibly surprised at the fact that I can actually run (for short periods of time - I run for 5 minutes spread out over half an hour (at 6 miles per hour! This isn’t that fast, but for me, this is a huge improvement). I have been having sleeping problems, and unfortunately this doesn’t help me at all. But it does feel relaxing and I feel accomplished after going to the gym and running.
I’ve lost two pounds with the amount of walking I’ve been doing, I hope to eventually lose the extra 40-50 pounds I’m carrying. And my next goals are as follows: increase the number of minutes I run by one minute each day, and do baby push ups increasing five at a time, until I can do 100, and then start doing real pushups.
