Vegetarian....
I’m seriously considering not eating (as much) meat. I doubt that I’ll be able to get away from it entirely, with my husband and son being extremely picky eaters bordering on strict carnivores.
But Ive been feeling rebellious lately.
I’m not happy with the status quo. I’m not really concerned with the animal welfare aspect, but moreso environmental health and lack of sustainability within the meat market, especially with American CAFOs.
There’s also a religious aspect to it. When God put Adam and Eve in the garden, they were most likely vegans. And it was only after they were kicked out and had to start working for their food that they began eating meat as a convenience.
I didn’t eat meat yesterday or today, despite going out and being around a very meat-eating-centric family. So far it’s just been a matter of choose not to. And when I think of the environmental benefits, why shouldn’t it be easy?
