Self-instruction Like leaving yourself a note to review your class notes before the quiz.
By establishing stimuli, the learner is reinforcing good habits.
Self-reinforcement Like setting small goals and rewards in reading the pages of a chapter.
It is still unclear whether reinforcement’s success is contingent on an internal source (self), or an external source (teacher).
