So I applied my own makeup for the first time this week and I wanted to share my experience for anyone else who’s like me and has never worn makeup before and maybe wants to start. Idk.
I bought a bunch of the cheapest stuff I could find at Kmart knowing it wouldn’t be the best quality but that’s okay (it’s also not that bad though)! Because I just wanted to play around for a video and see if it’s something I wanted to eventually get better at and invest more in (cause oh boy makeup is so expensive). So the tip there is buy some super cheap stuff to learn. It’s been so much fun and I wouldn’t be as willing to play around with it if it was expensive stuff.
The foundation was way too orange for my skin (can’t really tell with the editing lol). There’s no such thing as the perfect foundation shade but a general rule I’ve learned is to go lighter (just ordered a new shade that’s much lighter and should work way better for me).
I followed a YouTube tutorial by a beautiful woman named Sazan. There are so. Many. Tutorials on YouTube by talented people who are super good at explaining and showing how to do everything step by step. Go find some tutorials for what you wanna do.
Use a damp beauty blender.
Use a double cleanse system when you wash your makeup off to make sure you’re actually cleaning your face but do not use makeup wipes! Be gentle with your beautiful little face my loves.
And that’s all from my amateur self! I hope you’re all doing well and that this was maybe interested idk bye.
