“Thought you said you had something new to test out.”
“This is new.”
“Huh. Could’ve sworn you’ve shown it to me before...”
“Well, it shares a frame with the Fr—”
“Oh wait! All these guns have the same boring, bland colors! Ha, no wonder I got it mixed up.”
“...”
“Oh, come on.”
“You think you’re being cute, but you’re not.”
“I’m not allowed to poke a little fun at the dreary Häkke beigescape?”
“You know, one might be forgiven for thinking you care more about what colors a gun is than about how it shoots. Or are you making fun because you’re insecure about finding out you might like one of these pieces?”
“That’s just ridiculous.”
“Is it? All this time you’ve spent getting on my case about Häkke, refusing to see that I might have a good reason for being a loyal customer. Maybe you’ve developed a sense of irrational investment in that position, and maybe now the thought you might actually like a Häkke gun is getting under your skin.”
“First of all, I don’t have skin, I have exterior plating—”
“Ugh, under your proverbial skin.”
“—and second of all, that’s... just no.”
“Then try it out.”
“You know I’ve tried ‘em before.”
“A bog-standard shotgun and a base model auto, sure. Give this a shot.”
“Why bother? What’s so special about it?”
“Get your eye in this scope and your finger on this trigger, and see for yourself.”
