“For what? You’re the one who left?” Nico answered, the words tumbling out of his mouth before his lips zipped closed.

A grudge, he was holding a grudge. Some distance part of him knew that, but that didn’t mean he was any more willing to recognize it. And the bitterness of his words coated the back of his throat, grinding his teeth together as he pinned his gaze on a nearby gnarled stump, better that than look at the spirit of his sister. But he shouldn’t hold a grudge against his sister, she was his sister. She left though.

Then why did she forgive him?  For being annoyed? The silly, stupid, naive little brother that only drove others away? Where a sister would rather be dead than with him? What had he done to her that needed forgiveness? His hands twitched down by his sides and he closed his eyes with a grimace.

His grudge was justified, so his grudge was fine. Bile broiled in his throat as he fought over what to say next. He knew he wasn’t supposed to hold grudges.

“Don’t, Bianca.”

Spiritual session Saturday-when You aren’t forgiven We all have a past and no matter how enlightened we may be today, I'm sure at some point in time we've hurt someone else.
