thank you, next.. to my maybe baby

I’m on the verge of dropping my maybe baby. I don’t want to be that girl but I am getting beyond frustrated with him. It seems like I’m always the one reaching out to him and he usually gets back to me later on the day or literally the very next day. He maybe going through some shit but I don’t know that because I don’t really hear from him much. His communication skills through text is terrible. He’s not a terrible texter or anything, it’s that he replies back a couple hours later or the very next day or 2 days later at a very unusually time. 

I’m trying to be understanding because the guy works and does other things outside of work but if your suppose to be getting to know someone...why not do that? He actually text me yesterday and had told me that he was going to call me later on because he was hosting a BBQ. Alright, cool.

The time he was suppose to call me went by. Then another hour, then another. I almost called him but held myself back. I don’t have any patience for mind games or trying to be played. If he happens to try to contact me by the end of this week I am gonna go ghost on him. 

Not trying to generalize all guys because some of them or not like this but it is so hard to date seriously once you hit a certain age. I’m still young but there is a reason why I can’t take any guys seriously and it’s sad.

I really wanted to get to know this guy. He was literally the guy version of me but I guess the opposite of myself if that makes any sense. I hate to sound depressing or desperate but it would be nice to have someone outside of my distant family that I can call mines. It sucks sometimes being around people that can go home to someone at the end of the day meanwhile I go home to no one.

But don’t worry. I’ll be okay like I always do.

Ok, so... no one is likely to read this, but fuck it. I need to get this out there.

I played the last game of basketball for the year a couple of weeks ago (mid-season break) and on the other team was a woman I can't get out of my head! We lined up next to each other on the key while one of my teammates took free throws, and her first words to me were "Oh wow, you're tall too!" (We're both in the 175-180cm range, heaps taller than most of the girls in our division), and on it went from there. Every time we came in from a timeout or halftime, she would come to me to ask which way her team was going, and at one point I nearly fell, but she caught me. When I said "Thanks, good catch" she replied with "I wouldn't let you fall" and omg my heart just melted!

What sucks is the obvious: is she gay? Is she single? Is she maybe even remotely interested?

What really sucks, is that I won't see her at a game again until mid-February, and we don't play each other again until the end of March! (Today is December 23, for reference)

I really want to get to know her, and see what happens, but there's no real way to get in touch with her until the season starts up again. But will she even remember me?

I hate this being single business. Being gay is even harder. Haven't even touched on the fact I'm trans! I live in a town of about 120k people...this shit ain't easy.
