a funny thing happened to me in therapy yesterday; i was exhausted walking into my session (owing to an early morning zoom meeting and me staying up waaay past my bedtime glued to twitter/insta watching footage of julien baker concerts for two nights in a row), so i felt compelled to apologize to my therapist and offer an explanation for my low energy. now she and i have a decent amount in common (millennial femmes w tats/piercings), so when i told her why i was exhausted, she was immediately like, “oh my goD, i adore julien, but lucy is my fav :))” which lead to us gushing about lucy and my therapist regaling me with stories of seeing her live and the conversation wasn’t especially noteworthy until my therapist was like, “a friend of mine says that lucy and julien are dating!!! i guess the fans figured it out, bc they’re seen everywhere together,” and i had to work so incredibly hard to control my face and say yes like a normal fucking human without revealing the depth of my knowledge in this very field
