Yeah that bothered me too! People would argue that yes Kiibo’s personality got deleted but like–during the argument armament portion, it didn’t seem like any of the audience were swayed. It ended up with an angry outburst and loud screaming too. Does that sound like swaying to him? Geez.
“Everything we do is pointless, so the only way to not play the game is to die.” Maybe??? Staying alive??? Would also help prevent danganronpa if you’d advocate to eradicate all traces of danganronpa in the “outside world”? Is dying really the only possible outcome for Saihara?
Right! Oh my life- I’ve said before and I’ll say again- what kind of ‘stand’ is it if you’re, well, dead? Isn’t that basically glorification of death? To me, that’s a massive fucking red flag that death is his agenda and not his 'only remaining option’. The fact that he up and told the others that ‘if we live after this, it wouldn’t mean anything’, without any indication of what brought that conclusion, is just sketchy as hell. The way he was up in Kiibo’s face about how the concept of hope was basically the enemy (if not outright ‘real villain’) says a lot. Boy, isn’t that just what you want? Do you even care about what anyone else wants?
And don’t get me started on Kiibo. ‘Deleted’ my arse, even Tsumugi was doubtful about what was going on with Kiibo in the first place let alone have any sort of clue whether or not his personality was really gone. Certainly didn’t sound ‘gone’ in the end, but the survivors treated it as if it was a lost cause all because Saihara took the conclusion that ‘he was the audience’. Yeah do ‘the audience’ make a habit of controlling Kiibo’s bodily functions every minute of every day? Also how do survey results amount to an impromptu hijack?! It’s utterly absurd.
Then again Saihara doesn’t even really consider Kiibo’s feelings much anyway, no chance he would ever think critically about his situation lmao
