Fandom: Once Upon a Time (TV) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Relationships: Evil Queen | Regina Mills/Emma Swan Summary:
Regina takes a second or twelve and a half to close her eyes and just breathe through this moment of sudden push and pull with her emotions sat squarely in the middle of a proverbial rope, a white flag dangling above the slick soaked ground. That thing is back again from last night. That churning sensation starting deep within her belly begins to flare up warmer, brighter and threatens to spill all sorts of something out of its own accord.
She definitely feels something.

Chapters: 5/? Fandom: Once Upon a Time (TV) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Relationships: Evil Queen | Regina Mills/Emma Swan
Last chapter got cut in a wonky spot - so the only solution was to break it up into two chapters and post them both!!!!
Excerpt:
“Magic is emotion, Miss Swan.” Regina pulled back now slightly to meet the other woman's glare. “Your magic is reaching out to mine. We have inherent magic, you and I; we were born with it. The closer in proximity we are, the more your magic is reaching out, causing emotions to stir.” She regarded the blonde before her again, and allowed that thought to settle for a few moments. “Every time I walk away from you, you shut down. It's as if a switch is thrown suddenly and all of your light goes out. When I get closer, your magic reaches out for mine, making you more emotional. More you. It's reaching out looking to combine with something. To somehow recharge itself. It’s still there and it’s looking for something familiar. It’s looking for mine.”

Chapters: 4/? Fandom: Once Upon a Time (TV) Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Relationships: Evil Queen | Regina Mills/Emma Swan Excerpt:
“Don’t.” Emma whispered. “It’s too much.” She reached up and latched onto Regina’s wrists, “Please, Regina.” She whispered and swallowed thickly as moisture began to form in the corners of her eyes. She opened them again, and a tiny tear trickled down her cheek. “Please.”
“Tell me,” Regina whispered back, unwilling to break the spell they’d both been put under, “What’s too much, Emma?” Gently she wiped the tear track away with the pad of her thumb.
“It hurts,” The blonde responded as she blinked back tears and squeezed Regina’s wrists, “The way you’re looking at me. I feel you, Regina. You look at me like it hurts.”
“I’m looking at you like you hurt. I truly wish you would tell me why.”

Charming, Snow and Henry have a request - and it seems as though the Mayor can’t refuse ...
Swan queen week. Day8. Coming out <3
Title: After Neverland
“Are you sure you don’t want to come to Granny’s with us?” Henry asked pulling her closer to the gate.
Regina looked over at Emma for any sign, the smallest nod that it would be okay, but Emma was looking nervously at the ground. Her hair flooded her face and Regina instinctively knew that it was all too soon. “No…I think I am just going to rest a bit. You two go ahead.” She said as she leaned in for a kiss goodbye.
Emma and Regina danced awkwardly in front of one another while saying goodbye. Emma’s hand lingered over Regina’s just briefly enough to brush the tops of her knuckles. Regina smiled down at their hands separating quickly as Henry called out, “Let’s go!”
Stepping away slowly Emma shouted, “Wait up, Kid!”
Regina watched painfully as Emma hurried away after Henry. The sweet smell of vanilla hung in the air around her as they faded out of sight. Regina wandered back up the brick laid pathway to the mayor mansion, each day missing more and more the nights she spent with Emma in Neverland. The towering white column entrance felt more like bars now. Bars keeping Regina separated and alone, watching from a distance as Emma grew closer to everyone, but her. The silence of the house was too much for Regina to take. She walked the halls a dozen times before stopping at the front door. Screw this, she said to herself with a huff.
The brisk breeze flowed through Regina’s hair revitalizing her. She went to her office – a refuge of a whole different kind. At least here this damn town can be a distraction, she thought as she shuffled through piles of paper on her desk. Belle called and left a message looking for a book she left while taking care of the office during their time in Neverland. Regina found herself scouring through her office frantically for the book when she heard a knock on the door. Without missing a beat she shouted, “Come in!” thinking it was Belle coming for her book.
Emma walked in slowly observing Regina’s hurried motions. She was bent over facing away from the door mumbling frustratingly that she was not able to find it. “Find what,” she said stopping at Regina’s desk.
Regina froze, “Emma,” she said as she slowly rose, straightening out her skirt, her tone nervous with a tinge of excitement. “What are you doing here?”
Emma smiled, observing Regina’s awkward attempts to fix her dress. “I brought you some food,” she said placing it on the table. “Don’t worry it’s not just a burger from Granny’s.” Emma locked eyes with Regina, noticing the slight smile that rose across her face, she pushed the food closer.
“Is that all,” Regina said, shaking herself out of it and moving away from Emma. “I really am looking for something.”
“Well…maybe I can help?” Emma said, taking questioning steps toward her.
Regina stepped up onto a chair to reach a high off shelf. She stretched her arms out as far as possible, leaning, intent on finding the book, knowing all the while that there was no way the missing book was on this shelf. Regina turned slightly to see Emma standing behind her and lost her footing. Emma rushed in behind her, catching her before any harm was done. Regina, lingered there, Emma’s arms wrapped tightly around her letting time pass before opening her eyes; there, flashes of Neverland played through her mind. Regina opened her eyes to the feeling of Emma’s hand brushing her hair away from her face. Between them were nothing but deep breaths, silence looming for seconds that seemed like hours. “I’m so clumsy,” Regina said as she stood up, still close to Emma, “I’m sorry.”
Emma pulled Regina in even closer, “I’m not.”
“Emma,” she whispered softly, trying to look away, but Emma leaned in even closer. When they kissed it was as if all time paused around them. Emma walked Regina back, pushing her against the wall, kissing her everywhere possible. “Emma,” she moaned, “I’ve missed you.”
“Regina,” Emma said, breathlessly, “I don’t want to keep us a secret anymore. We can do this. We can tell them.”
Regina took a deep breath, running her fingers through Emma’s hair, “Do you really think so?”
“Yes,” she paused, “They have to at least have some idea...I can hardly control myself around you anymore. Just looking at you…” Emma paused.
“What?”
“Just looking at you…I..I unravel.”
Regina brought Emma’s face closer, slowly kissing her all over. “I love you.” She embraced her tightly, slowly removing her jacket. “I love you, too.”
Emma and Regina sat cuddling one another on the couch warmed by the fire Regina started. It was as if nothing could touch them in this space. The world faded away around them and Emma snuggled in closer to Regina.
“So how are we going to do this?” she said while looking slightly upward Regina’s fingers running through her hair.
“Should we take them to dinner? Is this the type of thing we need to be in a public space for?”
“How should I know?” Emma said laughing, “Not like I have much practice in this sort of thing.”
“Ok so,” she motioned for Emma to sit up. “I can say, listen, Snow. I know this may come as a shock…especially, well yanno, considering I was married to your father and everything, but…see…Emma and I, we, we love each other?” Regina’s head cocked to the side as if the whole thing was a great big question. The two blurted out laughing and Emma leaned in for another kiss which spurred into more as she crawled back on top of Regina.
---
Henry and Snow were headed out of Granny’s when they ran into Belle closing up the library.
“Good Afternoon, Belle.” Snow said, happy to be back in Storybrooke.
“Hi Snow, Henry. What are you two up to?”
“Oh, actually we are looking for Emma,” said Snow, “and Regina actually, we haven’t seen either of them in a few hours.”
“I was just headed over to Regina’s office now, I left something there while you were all away. Want me to tell her to check-in with you?”
“Why don’t we all go together?” Henry said cheerfully.
Henry hurried over to the office, running ahead and practicing with his wooden sword, leaving Snow and Belle who chatting behind him. Henry slowed down to screams from Snow at the entrance of town hall. “I don’t want to let him out of my sight you know…with everything that just happened. I want to keep him by my side.” Belle and Snow continued their slow walk up the stairs.
Suddenly, there was a hurried knocking on the office door. Regina and Emma panicked, racing to find their clothes which laid splayed across the office.
“Shit, shit, shit” Emma whispered to Regina.
“It’s okay…I locked it.” she whispered back, giggling and shaking her head.
“Hellllllllo, Mom! Open up!” Henry shouted as he jingled the door knob. “That’s weird the door is never locked.” He said looking back at Snow.
“Did you lock it last time you were here Belle?”
“No…I don’t think so.”
“Regina,” Snow shouted, “You in there?”
“One minute,” Regina shouted back looking at Emma as she adjusted her jacket, fixing her hair. Emma gestured a thumbs up and they gave each other a once over. “Coming.” Regina took one last breathe before opening the door.
Henry rushed in to hug her. “What took you so long?”
“Emma?” Snow said. The question lingered above them.
“Mom?” Henry said running over.
“Hey, kid” Emma smiled as she ignored Snows confused expression. “What are you doing here?”
“I just hadn’t seen Regina since Neverland and wanted to check-in.” Snow made her way into the office. “What did take you so long to answer the door?”
Emma and Regina shared a glance that they thought no one noticed, but the silence only grew alarmingly louder as Snow walked closer with a confused look on her face. “So…” Belle jumped in, “oh, there it is!”
Emma and Regina separated, Regina following Belle, and Emma moving toward Henry who was now sitting looking the story book.
“You have got to be kidding me. I looked literally everywhere for that book.”
“Belle, well you know what they say…the best things often hide in plain sight.”
Regina smiled and rubbed her hands, her gaze fixed to the floor.
“Everywhere?” Snow asked.
“Yeah…I mean I tore this place apart.” Regina was normally never nervous around Snow. Keep it cool, keep it cool…this is Snow for Christ’s sake, she thought.
“Is that the lunch Emma brought you two hours ago?”
‘Ummm yeah,” Regina said with a stutter.
“Doesn’t look like you even touched it.”
Emma ran toward the desk, “Yeah we hadn’t stopped looking for it actually. That’s why she wasn’t able to eat her lunch.”
“For two whole, entire hours?”
The four just stood there, Henry totally unaware of what was happening. Neither Regina nor Emma knew what to say. Snow continued to look between them a knowing smile on her face. “Well, you know, I’m sure it would have helped if they actually knew what it looked like.” Belle said.
Oh thank god she said something, Emma thought. “Yeah…that’s, that’s exactly it!” Regina nodded her head in agreement with Emma.
“Mhmm…Henry.” Snow called.
“Yeah, Grandma?”
“Let’s go home and start dinner. It looks like your Mom didn’t get to eat lunch. She’ll be coming over tonight!”
“Awesome! Love you, Moms.”
“Bye,” said Belle with a wave and a wink.
The door closed behind Snow and Belle. “Who are they trying to kid with that book nonsense?” Snow whispered to Belle.
“Maybe they aren’t ready to say anything yet?”
“Like we are blind or something?” Snow laughed.
--
“Okay, okay this is perfect. We can tell them tonight!” Emma said excitedly.
“I don’t know. I mean Snow seemed a little…I don’t know.”
“Listen” Emma put her hands on Regina’s shoulders. “I know you have known her longer, but I kind of taught her that whole probing thing she just did there. I am pretty sure she already knows.”
“Ahh” Regina sighed, her head swinging down. “Really? Oh…what a relief.”
Emma and Regina cleaned up around the office and then headed to Snow’s apartment. They made a quick stop at Granny’s for some coffee. Every so often Emma’s hand grazed Regina’s as they walked slowly down Main Street. Regina’s heart raced even more with every new step. Finally we will be able to stop with the secret touches and locked doors, she thought, finally. As they walked up the steps to Snow and Charming’s apartment they took their time. Knowing that everything was about to change for them. They smiled and Regina knocked on the door.
Snow continued her investigation throughout the whole of dinner. Charming knew what she was up to, but had decided to stay out of it until Emma was ready to tell them what was going on.
“You know Snow this food is great!” Regina said awkwardly.
“Thank you, Regina. Save some room though, I made your favorite for dessert, apple pie.”
“Wow, that’s so kind of you.”
“Yeah well it seems like Emma has really taken a liking to apples lately. I thought she would enjoy it too.”
“Mom…no” Emma hushed.
“Oh really? I hadn’t realized.” Regina questioned.
“What do you mean, Regina?” Snow asked. “Emma said you two spent a lot of time talking about your apple tree in Neverland. Yanno…all those nights you two spent on watch together.”
“Ohhhh,” Regina blushed, “Right. The Apples.” She pronounced slowly as she looked in Emma’s direction. Emma rolled her eyes and put her hand on her forehead.
Snow and Charming smiled at one another, “We like apples too. They are very nutritious,” she said and began to clear the table.
“Why is everyone talking about apples?’ Henry asked.
“Hey, kid, can you go upstairs for a second?” Henry cocked his head and begged to stay, but went anyway.
“Listen,” Emma kept her voice low and said, “We have something to tell you” as she grabbed Regina’s hand.
Snow brought her hands to her heart and smiled.
