Please, what is Queen Victoria's A/B/O designation I need to know.
beautiful anon you sent me down a 3 day research binge and musing session. i spent an entire day reading about queen victoria and at like 9pm i realized the only thing i'd eaten all day was 6 rangoons and a jell-o cup
i had previously known a lot of the basics of the queen herself but had not deep dived on her like, personality i suppose you might say
so. coming to you about five days later my tentative conclusion is: Omega!
There's a lot of reasons for my choice but ultimately what it comes down to is what I think is most interesting in the context of my worldbuilding for omegaverse, and what kinds of stereotypes I'm playing into vs subverting: specifically in this case, I think her reportedly complicated relationship with motherhood is most interesting from the perspective of an omega
I also think her being an omega would have helped contribute to the public's somewhat fickle opinion of her: alpha women are, socially, roughly equivalent to beta men per my omegaverse (though that's a simplification) and it wouldn't have been as unusual(?) for her to take the throne.
As a reminder, I am not a historian (yet) lol; I'm a victorian era enthusiast but not an expert, so I am definitely open to other perspectives!
(If anyone is wondering what brought this up, I posted some art for a JayTim Victorian Omegaverse au here and here)
Out of curiosity, I have posted a poll on my other blog!
