oh my god i love this so much. soooo much. also this is making me wonder--have you written anything else about liv and garrus' family?
Honestly, until like four days ago I’d totally spaced on the fact that Garrus even has a family.
I’ve spent so much time focusing on Olivia and Hannah and the whole Shepard side of things that I’d just...sort of...forgotten that Garrus canonically has parents and a sister.
So no. I’ve not written anything else about Olivia and her boyfriend’s family. I am pretty sure, though, that his father does not like Olivia in the least until he actually meets her (it’s hard to get a good opinion of someone when the media’s constantly slandering them and your councilor speaks about them in air quotes).
I’ve written some about Liv and Garrus and the family they create, though it’s entirely focused on Nora (whose fic, by the way, I had three different people look at and promptly yell at me to sit my ass down and write the rest of; so y’all will hopefully be getting that some time this summer/early fall).

OW. OW OW OW. this hurts my heart.
*sheepish grin, scratches head* Er... sorry?
belindadarrows replied to your post:oh that’s right half of you on this blog don’t...
so since you mentioned lady pilots… what are your thoughts on captain marvel and/or have you read any of her stuff?
I haven’t read any Captain Marvel. But I bet I’d love her.
Unfortunately, during that Barbara Gordon/Birds of Prey binge a couple months ago, I learned that I have huge difficulty reading comics. So as much as I’m sure I’d love Captain Marvel, reading her is not gonna happen.

WHY (also thank you)
The Liv!verse is just constantly overflowing with mom feelings.
(you’re welcome!)

this is so cute oh my god. thank you for it!!
You’re welcome! I’ve poked at the idea of Zaeed As A Grandfather before and nothing ever really came of it. Instant fic: just add Hannah!

now I’m picturing a shepard/vakarian/vega dance party to you shook me all night long and this is such a fantastic mental image i can’t even
I am so here for this.
Garrus and Vega air guitaring, while Liv mimes screaming into the mic.

i forget if you’ve written anything about this, but hannah & zaeed’s thoughts on the grandkids?
Fuckin’ weird, is what it is. Zaeed’s had a few years to adjust to the idea that he’s with Hannah for the long haul, and that along with Hannah comes Olivia. And while Olivia certainly doesn’t need him to be paternal (thank God for small favors), he is, kind of, her step-father.
(And ain’t that insane. He fireman-carried her out of a burning building once, not because she was injured, but because she spied a wall safe on the way out and decided to stop and hack it.
Lawson gave her a lecture on priorities after that. Liv’s response was to have Tali write her a faster hacking program.
He’s seen Liv through far more shit than anyone who’s her father - step, kind of, technically, almost, or otherwise - really ought to. He supposes that made him uniquely qualified to talk to her when she finally decided to start talking four months after she woke up from the coma.)
But grandkids? He thought he’d be dead by 35 (and when he lived past 35, he thought he’d be dead by 50; after he saw 65, he stopped changing his estimate. Universe wants him to live, he’ll live). He’s fucked a lot of pretty girls, he may have a kid or two out there - but not that he knows of.
Zaeed’ll never claim to having a plan, but grandkids sure weren’t part of it.
(Hell, Hannah wasn’t part of it. And then Shepard dragged him and Vakarian to the bakery - a goddamn bakery, bright lights and pink sparkly frosted cupcakes and all - and Hannah handed him a brownie, smiled, and he was done for.
They danced around it for a year, but he knew he was in it from that first brownie.)
He’s not that good at the grandparent thing, actually. Hannah’s a natural at it, and the kids being turian doesn’t seem to throw her at all. But him - frankly, he’s terrified he’s going to break one.
iris hawke once helped to do a deep cleaning of fenris' mansion. they burned a lot of stuff and scrubbed even more stuff, and by the time they were done, it looked like a completely different house. and hawke may or may not have then insisted they slide down all the banisters and put wooly socks on to skid across all the smooth floors.
Valeria Trevelyan was so horrified at the state of some of Skyhold’s less-maintained areas that she spent most of her free time trying to bring some order to the chaos. Spare bricks and mortar could often be seen flying from the darker corners of the keep, over the walls and left to tumble down the mountains.
