Ilima-Lei Macfarlane gets the doctor stoppage win over Veta Arteaga

Wasn’t watching too closely but it looked like MacFarlane was winning and getting the grappling match she wanted but Arteaga was putting up significant resistance. MacFarlane landed a huge elbow in the 3rd from inside Arteaga’s guard that opened up her head. The hole was big enough that the doctor called the fight in the corner.

Benson Henderson takes a SD over Adam Piccolotti.

First off, fantastic fight between Adam Piccolotti and Benson Henderson. Piccolotti exploited Benson’s tendency to put himself into compromising positions on the ground. In the first and third round, he was able to spend long stretches of time on Benson’s back fighting for the RNC. Benson had the advantage on the feet, especially when he got up at the end of the first round. He definitely won the 2nd. The judges gave Benson the third on the last minute sprint grappling. Honestly, though Piccolotti did enough to win. Anyway, fantastic fight.

Phil Davis stops Liam McGeary in the 3rd round!

Holy Crap, Phil Davis comes through with the kickboxing. Put on a clinic on McGeary before hurting him with a hook in the 3rd as McGeary recklessly barreled forward. Got on top in the mount and threw GnP til McGeary tapped. Big bounce back performance from Davis.

Gaston Bolanos knocks out Nathan Stolen in the 1st!

Peru wins! Bellator kicks off with Bolanos knocking out Stolen. Simultaneous left hooks end the night quickly for Stolen. He connected, but not as well apparently.
