Tessa had finally used her nickname! The smile faded only slightly as the other had halted the maintenance of her beautiful weapons. Isabelle took a step forward, for once not giving into the temptation to break the silence. Icy hues briefly flickered to the dust before she sidestepped it, not wanting to risk the tiny particles floating to her own skirts.

Belle nodded at the others understanding, though she hadn't truly been sorry. After all, she was her father's favorite (only) daughter, so when she was summoned, she couldn't afford to ignore him.

"As well as one can be after travelling for so long," the elf adjusted the thin, gray scarf around her neck so that the fabric would sit more securely. "He merely wanted my company for a mission out of the country."

Isabelle did not give specifics, as her father had forbidden her from doing so due to the nature of his work. But it had involved lots of blood && the dirtying of her favorite dress (which was such a shame), but at least Nolan had the decency to purchase her two brand new ones once they had made the return home.

"But enough about me --" Her chuckle was velvet as she scanned over the blonde. "What have you been up to, dear Tessa? Is this place still just as dull as when I left?"
