"No! No, go home and for get about be," she cried,"Please it's safe right now he can only move at night! Get out of her quickly! Take Dum and run!" She knew no one not even the whole Hatter Estate could stop Lupin... No one but her and she needed to do it soon. "Dee I want you to have this," she whispered. She closed her hands around his. They got cold then when she pulled away there was a snow flake charm like the others on her neckless. She took the string that held her hair she put it on him.
Dee's eyes filled with tears as she gave him the charm. He didn't want to forget her, he couldn't! He reached out to caress her cheek, only to move it away at the last moment. He attached the charm to the string, trying his hardest not to continue to cry. She truly did want him to leave, and if that's what she wanted he would do so. He turned and started to walk over to wake Dum up when a loud crack coming from inside him. The next thing he knew he was on his knees, struggling to stay conscious as the pain continued to spread through his chest. He could feel it, his clock, his heart, had gotten a small almost unnoticeable crack in it. It wasn't enough to kill him, but it was permanent. No amount of magic could fix it, he would live with it forever knowing he had been rejected by the one he loved so much. Even after he did die, it would still remain no matter how many times Julius tried to fix it. Without another word he closed his eyes as unconsciousness swept over him.
"Dee I'm so sorry I got you involved," she cried,"You and Dum no part in this fight!" she clung to him desperately she need to be held by him. "All my falt," she whimpered. Then a low voice came form outside,"Bella, Bella where have you gone. The days are short and the nights are long. All alone I'll make you stay, all alone I'll make you pay!" It laughed in an insane way. She whimpered as she buried her face in Dee's chest.
"Not if I can handle it!" Dee said, moving his arms around her shoulders, still glaring over at the wolf ", Lupin, you have messed with the wrong role holder. You mess with her, you mess with not just me, not just my twin and I, but the whole Hatter's Estate. We don't take lightly to something that belongs to us."
He pointed to his battle axe so Lupin would notice ", that is not just my favorite toy, but my weapon of choice when dealing with those who make an enemy of me. Not only that, but I know how to use and make hundreds of other weapons that could kill you in an instant. Trust me when I say this, an enemy of mine is not easy to make, but when I do I will win. The Hatter's family always does."
Just then the time changed to late sunrise, the Lupin growling in defeat as he ran off ", you win for now, but the next time, you won't be so lucky."
Dee grinned at the wolf, shaking his head ", that is where you'd be wrong. The next time you will be the one to run out of luck."
As Lupin ran off into the woods, Dee moved Bella's hair out of her face to look at her ", it's okay Bella. I don't want you to go through any of this alone. Of all peopel, you do not deserve to be alone. I'm here for you, no matter what gets in my way."
She moaned as his tongue intertwined with hers. Final she was want for more then her powers. Someone just wanted her and she wanted him. She cried out as he bit her neck softly. But then they heard a howl that chilled the blood. Bella broke away and looked out the window. A pair of blood red eyes looked at her from the darkness. "Lupin," she whispered as she turned and slid down the wall. Leaning against it for support she started to shake.
Dee was conflicted on what to do. One part of him wanted to grab his battle axe and kill Lupin on the spot, the other wanted to hold Bella close and make sure she was okay through it all.
He decided on option two, going over to Bella and wrapping his arms around her waist as she trembled up against the wall. He leaned in close to her ear as he whispered to her ", I'm here Bella, everything's fine."
He glared at Lupin, a low growl coming from his throat as the wolf growled at him through the window 'You are not welcome here Lupin,' he thought ", so why are you here still?'
He said it just what she wanted to hear. She brought her lips on his softly at first then couldn't take it anymore and kissed him passionately. She ran her fingers through his hair and when they broke apart she kissed his neck hotly. In between her kisses she told him,"I've never felt like this before. Thank you for letting me feel like this."
"No, thank you," Dee told her, beginning to nibble on her ear as he played with her hair roughly ", I have never felt like this before either. I want to spend every minute with you, holding you, protecting you, and this. I... I love you Bella." He had finally managed to say it before successfully getting their lips back together, making sure every moment counted.
Her head shot up and searched his eyes and all she saw was the truth. "Dee," she whispered,"If you were to die I don't thing I would live much longer. My clock would stop and never move again the moment someone told me." She took his hand and leaned forward letting their lips brush a few times. Dee was tense with surprise but all she wanted was, no all she need was him to love her and she would do anything for him.
Dee's lips trembled each time her lips barely touched his. He couldn't think, he couldn't respond, he couldn't do anything. He wanted to tell her how much he cared about her, how he would feel if she wasn't with him at this current moment, but he failed every time he attempted to do so.
When he was finally able to say something it wasn't what he had been trying to say, but it worked ", Bella... kiss me."
