POWER PLANT BELOIT 2018 by Amanda Browder
At Beloit College and the decommissioned power plant in Beloit, Wisconsin which is now called the Powerhouse. The piece is made from 100% donated fabrics and sewn together with the generous volunteers of Beloit, Wisconsin. The piece was put on a crane in the transitioning power plant. It allowed viewers to watch it move over the space, and to reminisce about the past and future of Beloit at this time.

April 20,21,22 - “Beloit Power Plant” by Amanda Browder + Volunteers of Beloit, WI will be shown (upright) in the decommissioned Alliant Energy Power Plant on the Rock River in Beloit, WI, now called The Powerhouse // size: 35’ x 35’ Each piece of fabric was donated by a person at Beloit, Wisconsin. It was sewn together with the diligent help of the citizens of Beloit, The students and profs of Beloit College and the students and teachers at Beloit Memorial High School. I am so proud and thankful to everyone for all their support. I have gotten to know so many wonderful people in the last two weeks and have had the honor to be reacquainted with a really great town.
