Illogical, stupid and a waste of everyones time. Abbott just had to have a military context hence the stupid name 'Green Army' - how bloody infantile. I thought Australia had grown out of this futile and punishing approach to making people work when the government hasn't a hope in hell of creating meaningful jobs. The program is intended to undercut the minimum wage - and it will do just that and nothing more. Whatever skills get taught, and they will be very, very basic, will not be in demand in the world of real jobs. This is bullshit, feel good stuff for Abbott (he ran a similar charade under Howard's regime) A couple of hundred thousand little seedlings will get planted - a few thousand weeds will get pulled - then the residual seeds will emerge even before the Green Army moves on. Nobody will be responsible to ensure that the trees planted ever reach maturity. The whole facile program will get spun as 'good for the environment' and 'good for climate change' whilst millions of hectares of forest and woodland will continue to be decimated annually by farmers, Coal Seam Gas exploiters and coal miners. Abbot really is leading a government full of yesterdays men enacting yesterdays failed policies and programs.

This is nothing more than a scam to rort unemployment numbers. There will be no training. Where will they plant all the trees? Are they planting them as plantation? Are they buying farmland to plant trees on. Do they have any plans?

This is just one of my many examples of horrible undergrad lab reports. Everytime I read one, I get a headache and want to scream. Why do my kids have to be so dumb? On top of that, I don't get paid squat. I actually calculated it to be about $6.75/hour considering the huge amount of time I put into grading each report. Maybe I should just pwn them all to make my left easier.
