So in episode 14 when a Belphegors lacky chased after Jacques, Belphegor didn't even look in that direction before his guy was taking care of it, so he had no idea what happened or that Jacques was there at all.

Did he like, just trust his guy completely and figured whatever happened he had it handled?

Or did he at some point just do a check like "Hey what was that noise earlier?" Lacky "Oh guy was trying to spy on us, I took care of it." Belphegor "Perfect. Did you recognize him?" Lacky "Yeah it was that journalist that always hangs around." Belphegor "Jacques?" Lacky "Yeah don't worry. I buried him in concrete, he won't be an issue ever again." Belphegor "…." Belphegor "You buried Jacques in concrete?" Lacky "…." Lacky "Was I not supposed to do that?" Belphegor "….." Belphegor "eh, he'll... probably be fine."

Jacques "Hey can I have our girlfriend back?"

Belphegor "She's currently a chess piece"

Jacque "wh- Ok? What does that mean? What I am I supposed to do with that information?"

Belphegor "Beat me at chess"

Jacques "Sir I am a certified dumbass and you know that"

Belphegor "I know,

Belphegor "But it's gonna be really fucking funny"

It's honestly so funny that while possessed by Belphegor's ring Sarah would just keep calling Jacques up like "Hey I'm going to blow up a subway" like three seconds before blowing up said subway, hanging up, and then like an hour later calling him up again and just going "I'm going to blow up the bridge over the Seine" and doing the same damn thing. She does this literally all night. Poor Jacques is just going the fuck through it

Belpehgor about Sarah "Okay so I'm going to be right outside all of these robberies in a car, engine still running, if the police arrive jump in the back. I will literally run these mother fuckers over to avoid you getting caught. You are not getting arrested on my watch baby girl."

Belphegor about Jacques "Yeah so put on this supervillain uniform, take this deadly weapon, and walk right into prison"

Episode 14 is so goddamn funny because I can very very easily imagine Belphegor going to himself "I need a journalist for this" calling up Jacques, tipping him off, then watching him immediately get his ass arrested, then letting out a sigh and going "Ok I need a journalist who actually knows what they're doing" and calling up Sarah
