By the way, for those who are not aware of Ben-Gvir, this is not some random wack-job online. This is an official Israeli minister.

The West relies heavily on the idea that the leaders of Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, or any country only useful to them as an enemy, are uniquely barbaric and irrational. Yet Israeli government ministers can openly endorse collective punishment while the military carrying it out is still framed as "the most moral army in the world".

And people are supposed to just accept that?

Innocent civilians in Palestine, Lebanon and Iran are killed with no accountability, and when human rights organisations point this out, suddenly those organisations are smeared because they are no longer saying what British and American governments want them to say.

The Israeli government is a genocidal, racist and colonial regime.

When people wave Israeli flags at matches against Iran, or cheer on a state that tortures prisoners, bombs civilians, destroys homes, starves people and sells luxury flats on stolen land, they are making a political choice. They are aligning themselves with something obscene.

And then people ask why people are becoming radicalised.

The antisemitism online is vile and genuinely unsettling. But you cannot keep treating antisemitism as the only racism that matters while mosques are targeted, Muslims are demonised, Arabs are dehumanised, and Palestinian, Lebanese and Iranian civilians are spoken about as collateral.

That double standard is not subtle. It feels racist because it is racist.

People are expected to be reasonable while world leaders do fuck all to stop this. It is obscene. It is embarrassing. And more people are seeing it every single day.
