This year's North by North East festival has been one of the best ever for comedy! Thanks to Comedy Records and comedian Barry Taylor, The Boom was involved in at least 10 shows. Here are a few highlights from the trenches of this bitchin' week...We've presented them in a fun acrostic poem, just for you!
Best part about NXNE was when Jay introduced himself as a 13 year old catholic school boy, but was so hoarse he sounded 70. That combined with his baldness made for a pretty silly set. - Eytan
Everyone at "The Dirty Show" being drunk and tired, late Saturday night. It wasn't a great show, but it was fun watching the battle between comics and drunks. I think the drunks won... This time. - Tim
Sneaking road beers out of the bar, only to get caught by a bouncer. When I try to think of the shows though, all I see is Dick Mime. - Robyn
The entire week was amazing! Garrett and I interviewing the Epic Mealtime guys was awesome. Deep throating a huge dildo in The Boom's set and Rick and Chuck headlining "The Raw and Hard Show" at 3:30 am Sunday morning was intense! - Jay
Obviously, Julia Hladkowicz singing a song about eating pussy, leading to an adorable lesbian couple in the audience cuddling. Bringing the LGBT community together with the magic of rap. - Deb
Friday night, hosting the show at LOT 100 to a packed, amped crowd. Hanging with my peeps (the marshmallow variety). - Keith
Nobly distracting a girl so my friend could fingerbang her sister in the crowd of the Flaming Lips concert. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, sploosh. - Bryn
XM radio host, Ben Miner interviewing me. By the end of the interview, the crowd quadrupled in size. I think it was the story of me crying in front of Weird Al that did it. Also, the variety of stand up and sketch shows going on was awesome. - Garrett
No f*cking comment, ya dill holes. - Des
Everyone on the patio at the Monarch being told to "keep it down" a million times, even though we were all whispering. - Hannan
