You know how Spider-Man has his villains and how Captain America has his? Like, under normal circumstances Spider-Man isn't gonna fight Red Skull and Captain America isn't gonna fight Venom? My world sorta works on that logic too. Bellwood, my home town, is a magnet for alien invasions since I live there, but other places have their own troubles to deal with. The world of Ben 10 is a world of superheroes. Can't remember the name of it, but the city where my cousin goes to college mainly deals with magical threats, since that's what she attracts. Some places deal with cryptids (look at the Secret Saturdays), some deal with ghosts, some deal with mutants or sentient weather or mermaids or robots, and so on. I am a world famous superhero, cause a lot of my adversaries are planetary threats, but I'm not the only one, and there are hundreds of lesser known heroes around.

What they don't tell you about being alone on a space station is that you do eventually begin to imagine a xenomorph stalking you, even with the knowledge that you're the baddest alien in the universe and could probably take out a dozen of those things and anyways xenomorphs haven't even been recorded in this galaxy or the next one over. But like. what if..
