🍺🍺🍺🍺❌ • Bench Brewing Short Hills East Coast IPA ABV:6.5% • IBU:40 • Right of the hop, you are hit with big tropical flavourings of melon, tangerine and peach. This juicy aspect is set over a bready malt that provides a creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel throughout. Towards the end, a peach pit taste combines with medium hopped bitterness, which fades really quickly into the aftertaste. @benchbrewing #benchbrewing • This is exactly the beer I needed to kick off the weekend. Nice mouthfeel with big juicy flavourings do a good job of hiding the high ABV. Includes a touch of hop bitterness, but only for a moment, which I quite enjoyed. This brings on a subtle tart aspect, that leads into the mid-sip, where a mild brett backbone reveals itself. The yeast comes to play in the mid-sip to provide a light funk and tart aspect. This natural, juice filled taste lasts well into the sip and concludes with a slightly tart aspect. @benchbrewing #benchbrewing • Just getting around to posting this one now, but I enjoyed it while I was on my one day visit to Niagara Falls. I’ve tried 3 of the 6 beers I picked up and I’ve been blown away by every one of them. Big bright flavours allow for this to be a thirst quencher and the sour is muted enough to make this beer much more than just a one and done. 🍺🍺🍺🍺¼ • Bench Brewing Company Clean Slate Brett Saison ABV:5.7% IBU:35 • Begins with a bright citrus flavour combination of lemon, apple and possibly pineapple. An assertive effervescence plays in the beginning and as it begins to settle, a light yeast aspect translates through. This in turn, ushers in a bit of farmhouse funk on the backend of the beer, that combines with a white wine dry bitterness to conclude the sip. @benchbrewing #benchbrewing • I really enjoyed how bright and refreshing the flavours were right from the beginning. The bottle says this can be aged for 7 years, which would bring out more of the farmhouse funk flavours that are evident in the backend. A lemon citric flavour combines with a yeast aspect to deliver a slight funk taste in the mid-sip. Back end delivers a bit or peppery spice, with an above average carbonation, to cleanse the palate. @benchbrewing #benchbrewing • This is a summertime crusher through and though. Mouthfeel and ABV are on the light side for a wit, however it does this beer no injustice. It still manages to deliver on a refreshing and unique taste.
