i can't believe they teased benrius nation so hard in the first 3 eps and then dropped the girlfriend bomb

So i know I'm kinda a liiiitle obsessed with jwcc and especially benrius, but it just struck me that... The writers did it on purpose. Someone wrote them like this on purpose. A lot of this also applies to Sammy/Yaz which I'll adress later.

I finally realized this while listening the two princes podcast (highly recommend 💅) and watching shows that have romance.

I'm gonna analyze *that* scene in more depth later, but let me tell you.

Writers and animators and directors went to years of schooling. Homework. Classes. Tests. Learning about body language, speech/dialogue, expressions, and more. They (hopefully) know how to write and animate people that are attracted to each other or have feelings for each other. They know stuff. They do stuff.

"you beautiful, disturbed, beautiful boy."

People don't just say that.

People don't just write that.

Their endless touches and worrying about each other more than anybody else...

The literal "we're quite a pair, huh?" (An often romantic sentiment)

People don't just write that.

The romantic situation with the boat and reuniting, and the falling parallels?

PEOPLE. DON'T. JUST. WRITE. THAT.

There is so much I could go through, but the ILY in s3 is literally just the cherry on top.

So either the writers/animators are Adrian Agreste, or they purposefully made this shit romantic af. I dont make the rules.

FINALLY finished rewatching all of JWCC (again) and HOLY COW are the couples so obvious and intentional. Here's part 1 of my observations.

Benrius had about:

15 shoulder touches

5 Personal Hugs (just the two of them)

18 times they mentioned worrying about each other or comforting each other

And put their arm around their shoulder 🥺 6 times

Yazsammy had 9 personal hugs and had wayyyy too many half-hug hand on back things to count.

Both Darius and Yaz risked an encounter with the Scorpios rex to save their boos 🥺 S3

It feels illegal to watch 14:03-14:42 S3E7 so sus 😏😏💀💀

S4E5 3:40 faces got real close 😏😏

S4E5 Yazsammy fell asleep in the same bed 😭😭🥺 they fell asleep facing away from each other and woke up facing each other really closely 😭😭 they scooted closer together oml

Everytime they group hug, Ben goes around back to hug Darius 🥺🥺🥺
