7: is there a series/book that got you into reading? not that i can recall, no. primarily bc i remember fuck all about being a small child and that seems to be when i started reading books recreationally. im certain there is one, but what it might be ive completely forgotten. the strongest contenders i can think of would be animorphs or eragon.

14: do you ever mark/dogear books you own? noooooo... not intentionally at least! i hate damaging and marking my books. i despise a visible crease or fold in a page >m<

19: most disliked popular books? besides the one obvious series ill not name here, i genuinely dont think ive read many popular books?? or even many books i disliked enough to make an impression. like... by what metrics whats the threshold etc. i think my only answer would have to be the eragon books (inheritance cycle) for which i was a devoted hater for a small number of years, in the way that can only happen when you start as a fan of the work in question and then spend WAYYYY too much time as a teenager in a sufficiently large fan space dedicated to that work lmao. i mellowed out about it enormously after being separated from that space, so i still have criticisms, but there is a certain fondness now when i do think about that series. actually, maybe catcher in the rye? just bc its well outside my usual fare (in terms of genre) and i was forced to read it for school and i fucking hated the protagonists guts. idr why i hated his guts in particular he just pissed me off so much

8. first book i remember reading myself?

oh god what a hard question. I am not going to count picture books because that's low hanging fruit and i wouldn't remember that at all. So I'll give you 2 books I remember reading very early. I read with my parents frequently, usually they encouraged me to read aloud and they'd help on anything that i got stuck on. The books were Heidi by Johanna Spyri and The Secret Oceans by Betty Ballentine.

20. What are things I look for in a book?

Nowadays I look for books that will challenge me, or intrigue me. I don't really spend my leisure time reading fluffy comforting books (not knocking that as a genre! i do read it from time to time i just dont seek it out). I particularly like science fiction and certain horror genres for this. I want a book that makes me think, teaches me something, or plays with the format or genre in a new and interesting way. and the same with nonfiction, I don't read self help much anymore, and i dont read like really basic histories of stuff i know about already even if it is something that interests me. I feel like the time I have for leisure reading is so precious these days that i want to learn something brand new, have someone reach into my brain and wiggle around a bit.

most importantly i like it when a place is wrong, especially if its a house

befitting of how life-long this character has been for @beneathsilverstars, I have finished a very long project of turning Naiakiir into a furby!

Notable features include a catlike 3 mouth, custom painted eye chips, fully sewn on hair with a gold chain detail in the braid, and a harp for this tiny bard to play with its um. it's uhhhhh feet?

I also found an ancient drawing of Naiakiir I did in probably 2017!!!! Enjoy!

I'm not counting the hairs I sewed in but they took over 2 minutes per strand to thread #sew in and knot. plus I had to keep a look on how I was mixing the colors so there wasn't any clumping of colors weirdly #I thought about combing out the braided floss strands but I was worried that would ruin it and it's something that can't be undone
