Move Along || Benedict & Chloe
It was hard to believe that summer was already nearing its end, when Chloe could have sworn that the year only just started a month ago, but she was actually ready for the weather to cool down again. She was ready for the time of year that the pumpkin flavored drinks and desserts were released, and you couldn’t walk into a store without seeing Halloween costumes and candy decorating the aisles. There was something that was just calming about fall, about long sleeved sweaters and leaves changing their colors, and it was what her mind was preoccupied with as she sipped on her iced tea, watching the liquid slowly disappear from the transparent cup.
Other than Tiziano, the only company she really had these days seemed to be the cats, but as much as she loved them, they were not human, and they just weren’t able to hold out a good conversation. She would hang out with a friend here or there, but she rarely ever left the apartment, and knowing she needed to actually start looking for work again soon, she figured it would be a good idea to make the most of her time off. She needed to get out and catch up with her friends before her excuse was being too busy to do so. She hadn’t realized how few friends she had until she actually started thinking about the people she needed to get in touch with, though, and she was willing to beg someone to do something with her if she had to -- fortunately, it hadn’t came to that.
Someone that she felt like she hadn’t seen in awhile, but she still cared about a lot, was Benedict. She had met him shortly after coming to London, and though they didn’t talk on a regular basis, he was one of the few people that had been there the whole year she was, and he was willing to meet up with her without any sort of bribery. Not to mention that he was actually good company, he always seemed to have something interesting to say. Taking the last sip from her green straw, Chloe checked the time and tossed the cup into the closest recycle bin, her eyes scanning her surroundings for the man’s familiar face, hoping she hadn’t misunderstood where to meet him at. That would be great, them both in different parts of town, waiting for the other to show up, but she shook the thought off soon enough, figuring she was worrying over nothing. If the time passed for him to actually be there, she could text him and make sure she hadn’t gotten mixed up.

Life’s a Stage || Benedict & John
John had been a part of several charities in his life, but this one was closer to his heart than most. When he went to school, he was passionate about the theater and he knew it since he was very young and even pursued a career in it after a lot of thought. He had a degree in law, but he had never practiced and he also studied social science, thinking that either of those paths would be a steadier job than his passion for the arts but he had always been led back to the things that he loved the most and with the encouragement of his wife, he went after it. He had eventually become the Artistic Director of a stage company in southern Australia and the head of Drama at an art school in Sydney called Brent St. School of Arts and from there he had directed over 80 plays, one of which called Sons of Cain got over 240 showings and won several awards for his work in Australia.
This was a charity to keep dreams like that alive, if he had never been able to pursue acting, or any form of art in school for that matter, he wouldn’t be where he was today and he didn’t want the younger kids in school to give up hope in pursuing their dreams. The art programs were often the first things that schools cut the funding to when they were going over their budgets and this had been happening many times as of late and he had never expected that he would see this happen in a community that was as rich with culture and art as London was. The work shop that he had helped agree to setting up would take place in none other than London’s West End where he had brought Sons of Cain to life on stage. Stepping into the old building was almost a humbling experience, a reminder of where he had come from. He knew that he would be meeting Benedict, his partner in crime for this project here very soon but he had to arrive there a little early to have a look around so that he could have a little trip down memory lane.
Not a lot had changed, even after all of these years. The flooring was a little different than what he had remembered but he could have just been imagining it. He walked around for a few moments, admiring the architecture and made his way up to the stage when he heard the door open from behind him. “Oh, it’s you.” he said with a grin as he caught Benedict in the corner of his eye. “It’s nice to finally meet you. I’m John.” he said, holding out his hand for a handshake.

In The Zone || Chloe & Benedict
It had been a day since two of Chloe’s family members had showed up in London completely out of the blue, and she would be spending time with them since she didn’t have work, but her brother wanted to check out some museum and he had pulled her mother along with him. She didn’t really mind, making plans to catch up with Benedict instead. They would be staying for a week or so; she’d have plenty of time to spend with them in the following days. She thought about that as she grabbed her keys and left her place, debating calling a cab. She eventually settled on driving instead, figuring it would be quicker and just as simple, so she would show up on time. And, as bad as it made her sound, she was hoping to get away before her mom or Trevor got back and asked her to do something with them. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to be around them -- she did, and she was glad they were in London. But they also knew how to drive her crazy at times, and she was used to kind of being on her own, so it was weird to have them around.
Turning into the parking lot of the miniature golf place, she tried to park somewhere noticeable, where she could see when he arrived. Pulling out her phone, she texted her mom then, asking if she was having fun, though she doubted she would reply until they finished checking out the museum. She didn’t even know which one they’d went to; she was sure they’d told her, but she couldn’t remember details well at all anymore. She was more frazzled than she should be, and stressing over some of her family being around wasn’t helping anything, that was certain. After a moment, Chloe climbed out her vehicle, locking and shutting the door before leaning against the side. The weather wasn’t bad today at all, and it would be very interesting to see how this went over, but it would be fun too, she thought.

Worked to the Bone || Andrew & Benedict
It had been a week of meetings, a very long week of meetings so far. How it was still only Wednesday, Andy had no idea, but he couldn't wait for the weekend to come around again. Leaving the offices, he heaved a heavy sigh as the door swung shut behind him. He hadn't had any idea just how much work went into adapting a novel for screen until he'd stepped foot in that room today. Now he really wished he didn't know, there was so much going around and around in his head, and honestly, he didn't like it one bit. More than anything, he was worried what state the script would end up in. The book was his baby and if they ruined it, there'd be hell to pay. The writers seemed to know what they were doing, though, so he had his fingers crossed that the finished product wouldn't be too much of a disappointment. And at least he could say no to any serious changes they'd made. It wouldn't be making it to screen unless he said yes, and that was exactly what they'd established today.
As he stepped out of the lift on the ground floor, he idly ran a hand through his hair, looking around at the spacious reception, which was when his gaze fell upon a familiar figure stood near the doors and caught up in a conversation. He slowed his pace, trying to decide whether the other male was on his way out of the building or not. If he was clearly on his way in, heading to a meeting, he wouldn't bother, but if not, he'd definitely have to try and say hello. He'd spoken to Benedict time and time again, but they'd yet to have an opportunity to actually get together. Well, when in Rome. As he crossed the reception, he was relieved to see the man Benedict had been conversing heading further into the building, leaving Benedict to move towards the doors. He caught up as quickly as he could, and then said conversationally as he reached the other man, "I thought it was you."

Double Date || Angie & Benedict
For almost as long as Angie and Benny had known each other, they had thrown around the idea of getting together, as well as Jonny and Michelle, and doing dinner, all four of them. With each of their busy schedules constantly getting in the way, that plan became nearly impossible to set in motion but this time, Angelina wasn't accepting any excuses. She had made sure to give Benny a time and date well in advance so that (hopefully) he and Michelle could make it. Angie and Jonny loved having friends at the house and they were always opening their doors to those they were close to, oddly enough becoming quite the host and hostess. Rather than all four of them meeting up at some restaurant, both Angelina and Jonny would have preferred Michelle and Benedict come over to the house, so that's exactly what they had planned.
Jonny was a much better cook than Angie, though he rarely admitted it, so he had planned out a huge five course meal for the evening. Angelina offered up all the help she could while managing to keep their seven kids entertained, all of whom would be dispersed throughout the evening and off to friends' houses or other activities so the house would be a bit more quiet when Michelle and Benedict came over. It was a school night, so Angelina would make sure they weren't up at all hours of the night, but kids would be kids and she could certainly understand how they didn't exactly want to sit around with mom and dad and two of their friends all night.
While Jonny was hard at work preparing dinner, Angelina would sneak a taste every so often while they waited for their friends to arrive. Maddox had a big date he was getting ready for and all of his younger siblings were having a field day teasing him for it. Angelina didn't even hear the door but one of the kids alerted her before running off to go answer it; in the end, the youngest - the twins, Vivienne and Knox - made it to the door first, and were the first to greet Benedict and Michelle while Angelina was tied up in the kitchen for a few more moments helping Maddox find his wallet.
Stranded on Queen Street || Angie & Benedict
Angelina and Benedict spoke about as often as he and Jonny did these days, which was quite a bit. Seeing as they were all mutual friends, it was hard to go even a week without contacting Benny for one reason or another. The three friends had become tightly knit over the past few months and Benedict had quickly been filed under Angie's very sparse "could trust them with my life" category. Those Angie trusted that much were few and far between, but any friend of Jonny's was a friend of Angelina's, and when one of those friends needed help, she would be there for them.
Hearing Benny had somehow managed to get himself stranded at such a late hour, Angelina knew it had to be stressful as an event like that was never anything one planned on. It had just started raining so Angelina hurriedly got her keys and purse and she was out the door. Sending a quick text to Jonny, who was in New York and currently working, letting him know that his best friend had managed to get himself stuck somewhere in London. There would be plenty of time to give Benny a hard time about it later; for now, her main priority was getting to him and making sure he was alright.
The kids were already in bed and a couple of the nannies were staying at the house since Jonny was out of town, allowing Angelina to slip away for a little while. Remembering the exact location he had told her he was, Angelina managed to find it in a little over ten minutes - around the time she had told him she would be there. She pulled up to the curb, slowing down considerably to avoid splashing Benny with a huge puddle that had accumulated there on the ground as she rolled down her window, smirking as she raised a brow, observing the disgruntled-looking actor standing there all alone. "You rang?" she laughed softly, unlocking her car doors so he could get in on the passenger's side. "Hurry and get in, you're soaked. How long have you even been out here?"
Letter from the groom
Michelle,
Today is the day that he had chosen to make good of our promise, committing a life to each other for as long as we both shall have it. I have thought of that day- the moment that I asked for your had and received the greatest words, that you would take me as your husband and title yourself as my wife. It was truly one of the happiest moments of my life, the first; the moment that I realized I had fallen for you and no could I longer deny it, when you- kissed me.
As I write this I laugh, you have taken the reigns on me and taken charge but I have never minded that aspect of yours. You are strong, independent but you’re control is never overwhelming- it is a challenge I love and take pride in having because no other woman could manage a personality like mine, as you have but you are loving and kind as well. You have shared with me and we have worked together, never one or the other in the lead.
So though it may be a race to test you, to better you at your taunts against me there is no greater feeling than I have felt than being the man in your life to love you and hopefully have you laugh- even at the price of my dignity or what you have left me with. I loathe to admit it but you are better and wittier- maybe smarter? No-, I’ll take that because I’ll find my own way to best you. I promise you that.
But I digress, I shan’t go on about you- this letter is about you, yes- but this today, tomorrow and the after. It is for us, our marriage. So, I tell you this with great honor and promise that I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you and as you walk in your dress, white and covered with a veil I will try my best not to easily weep. You have given me the happiest days- none of which that has prepared me for the overwhelming happiness that I feel to meet you in the altar.
All eyes shall be on you; mine will be of nowhere different, enchanted with you, by you and not just the sight of you but our eyes meeting again- Now, I may loose my breath and shed a tear or two from the beautiful sight I know I shall be granted with but hold me steady, as I will do for you.
I love you without condition, I promise you my love, devotion, fidelity and protection. (Please, humour me on that one, would you?) Michelle, I am not perfect and nor have I claimed to be, but this will not prevent me from trying to be such in your eyes and If I fail, remind me, approach me and love me until I return to my senses. Only you can lead me back.
See you soon, Chelly.
Always and truly yours, Bunny
