This is the 2D version of a background I made for my portfolio. This piece is made intentionally symmetrical to make a comparison in both 2D and 3D. And also was made for a practice to handle and use different color palettes.

This project is one of the most complex I have done as a student nearing graduation. Once I had the 2D version of the scene ready, I moved on to modeling each of the assets in Autodesk MAYA and a few others (depending on their complexity) in ZBrush. Then, I transferred them to Unreal Engine 5.4 for texturing. Some models required texture in Substance Painter for a personalized appearance. Finally, the rest was just lighting. I downloaded the Candle VFX (from Vefects), Fire VDB Pack Loop (from One.Studio2), and Perfect Fire VFX (from Vefects) from the Epic Games library, as I have not yet mastered particle creation in Unreal Engine.
Final artwork for my concept of a cemetery background. I was looking for a paranormal atmosphere without explicit content. Created with Clip Studio Paint (Lineart) and Rendering/Composition with Photoshop.
Background Exploration with hard shadows and Gradient colors. All made in Clip Studio Paint.
